There are few states in the nation that allow rifles to be loaded in an automobile, let alone a moving automobile on public roads. In fact, I know of now such allowance in any state.

Even so, he wasn't in TX. He was in TN. And, as a Georgian who frequently hunts in TN, I know that not only can you not have your rifles loaded, but technically, you can't even have ammunition in the cab if that's where your weapons are.
