A-theist wouldn't express ANY opinion on the existance of God.
Only ANTI-theists feel that need. And in so doing, they are expressing their beliefs about God, ironically becoming theists, expressing a theology.

A true A-theist wouldn't express ANY opinion on the existance of God. There's strong atheism (I assert that no God exists), and then there's weak atheism (I have no belief in God).
I subscribe to the latter, myself.

On asking an atheist if God existed, if he had an opinion I see no reason why he would not express it and if he had no opinion, seems to me that would make him an agnostic.
