The first time I appeared on "The O'Reilly Factor," in 2004, I sat across from Bill O'Reilly in awkward silence while he shuffled papers and took notes.
Finally, he glanced up and acknowledged my existence....

O’Reilly IS a jerk, but the author of this piece goes on to say that he is responsible for Tiller’s death, which is nonsense.
To: steve-b
So on Tuesday morning, when an O'Reilly producer called and asked me to come on the show to "discuss the reasons why women have late-term abortions," I held fast to my pledge. I told his producer what I thought: that I had had that conversation on air with O'Reilly five years earlier and that he agreed with me at the time that the decision was between a woman and her doctor. That O'Reilly then went on to pretend we had never talked about it and continued condemning women and doctors. That the nation and those of us in the pro-choice community are reeling from the murder of a doctor who helped women. That we hold O'Reilly responsible for helping to create a climate in which hate was allowed to fester. That I refused to dignify his irresponsible behavior, not to mention his deplorable reaction to Tiller's shooting. So, apparently, is this broad. Her self-righteousness is suffocating. Probably, the FNC studios aren't big enough for two such gigantic self-righteous personalities in the same room.

That's karma. Read the links in my comment -- Loofah Bill is in the habit of smearing FR using exactly the same sort of tactics, so he has no complaint coming when those tactics come around to bite him on his ample @$$.

There’s no doubt that O’Reilly is a pompous a$$. However, he is correct on a number of issues and especially on this one. I have no problem calling George Tiller Dr. Killer after his death. If he was a baby murderer before he died, then he’s a baby murderer. It does not justify what was done to him. It merely points out what he had been doing to countless families previously, legal or not. Morally, it was wrong. Just as morally wrong as murdering him was.

This woman has her complaints. But BOR is almost as narcissistic as Obama. Have you EVER seen him allow a guest to finish a sentence? He even cuts off Glenn Beck after a few words of his response.
BOR is another acronym for BOORISH.

BOR only has guests so he has somebody to shout down and talk over...and seems to be getting worse with time.
He also seems to be one of the most shallow, least informed talking heads.

That’s true and a good excuse for Mary Alice because there is no defense of Tiller’s ghoulish late term abortions and her own evilness would be exposed (especially to herself). So she can write this article and avoid her reality.
To: steve-b
I've noticed for the last several years that most of BOR's "guests" are other FNC employees. I concluded that BOR is having difficulty finding anyone else who is willing to subject themselves to his boorisheness.
I haven't been able to figure out why BOR gets so many people to watch him. It can't be that his show is that great. It's probably due to the fact that BOR's competition is worse than Hitler.

People who are jerks can also be right about a lot of things. It's an attitude thing.
Now I think you may want to examine the double standard in murder.

But then I realized I just couldn't. Because if the murder of a man in a house of worship wasn't enough to make Bill O'Reilly repent, what hope did I have? The writer is vice president of communications for NARAL Pro-Choice New York.
You ought to know, 30 million murders have not made you repent.

What is even worse, the media has pinned him as the prime example of who and what a Conservative is.
NOTHING could be further from the truth. BOR is NO Conservative. He is a Populist sycophant who is fixated on his image in any given mirror.
This guy needs to be replaced quickly with Glenn Beck. Glenn would make this prime-time hour something to brag about for us Conservatives, as well as actually be entertaining and not such a painful experience, as having to watch O’Reilly drool and fawn all over himself.
