There you go. Now our military can get their equipment from a Chinese supplier.

This is what happens when you elect someone who hates his own country to rule it.

This allows the ChiComs to take care of their good buddy, Bill Clinton (since Bill is always out looking for a Hummer.....)

Who really believes that STHIM will continue to build Hummers in the U.S. for more than a year of two. Why pay the UAW 80 bucks an hour when you can get them built in China for 15 and ship them to the States.

This is a military purchase. If it also has commercial benefits for China, they’ll take that as gravy.

Well the Chinese did need to do something with all that lead they have been mining! Oh and don’t forget about all that cardboard! Now they have another outlet for it - other than the noodles, pork, beef and chicken they have been making it into.

The Chinese have been building them for a long time. They just got to make them a little bigger.

Wait a second! Since we now own GM, should we, as owners, have the right to approve the sale????

Why isn't the UAW opposing the loss of Hummer jobs to China?

Is an American paycheck for building a small car ok, but not paycheck for building a big car?

I don’t get upset when public companies get bought out. That’s the way the market works. I’m just sorry the White House is making these decisions based on what’s best for key Democratic Party constituencies rather than public companies doing what’s best by their shareholders. As far as the product goes, they can have it, it’s a great lumbering unaffordable beast - not like the original Hummers which at least were rugged and manuverable. When I see a new Hummer like an H2 I think of a fat man that has trouble walking - not a former military vehicle.

Of course now we will see more yellow Hummers, except now they will have all Made in China parts and the build quality falls off dramatically.
