Some Christians think all you have to do is believe in Jesus and you can live in as much sin as you want. You are forgiven. They have an out - Jesus said that by the same standard you judge others so you will be judged. No judgement, no worry about being judged by God. It’s pretty strange to me, but I hear it alot.

In the mid 20th Century H. Richard Niebuhr indicted liberal Protestantism for teaching "a God without wrath who brings humans without sin into a kingdom without judgment through a Christ without a cross."

That anti-Creed ought to be memorized by all orthodox Christians to be better equipped to combat heresy!

In our VBS last year one of the lessons was the ABC's of Christianity:

Acknowledge that Sin will lead eternally to death, not to life.

Believe that there will be two eternal destinations - one is Spiritual Life and the other is Spiritual Death, and Jesus has died on the Cross for our sins.

Confess that you are the sinner and your sin has been reconciled by Grace of God through faith in that Jesus has died for your sin.
