Surely he’s been told who the murderer is and what the motivation was. Otherwise, he wouldn’t step out on this limb.
I was thinking the same thing. Plus, it's unusual not to release the suspects name before apprehension, let alone after. They wanted to get their ducks in a row for Barry.

Scott Roeder is name of accused: Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies stopped Scott Roeder on I-35 between the two main Gardner exits around 1:30 p.m. He surrendered without incident. Deputies did not find any weapons on him.
“We shut down I-35 and directed him to come back to us. He complied with our request. He was arrested and taken into custody,” Lt. Mike Phannestiel said.
According to Phannestiel, Roeder is on temporary hold for Sedgwick County at the Johnson County New Century Detention Center near Gardner. Roeder is considered a person of interest at this time.

I don’t know why they assume the murderer was Tiller’s “opponent.” It looks like it was someone who had one very fundamental point of agreement with Tiller: that killing is “the final solution.”
