50 million. One of them might have found a cure for cancer...one of them might have become President, at least some of them would have made a huge difference. They were murdered by the one person nature designated to be their ultimate protector - their mother.
It’s beyond tragedy... beyond travesty.
Pharaoh hardened his heart.
Pharaoh hardened his heart.
Pharaoh hardened his heart.
God hardened Pharaohs heart.
Yes, I, too, believe can can use anything for His purpose, but I do not think God is surprised by anything.
He knows everything that ever will be.
If He knows it ahead of time, then He has permitted it. For His own purposes, but I’m not going to come down on the side of a less than omniscient God.
"immediate" is also a matter of perception. Monday morning could be "immediate" in the mind of the killer.
My first thought when hearing of this was to look for justified killing in Scripture. The first thing I found was Exodus 21:22-23. I read that as indicating life for life if a baby is killed.
How about stopping “open and notorious” serial killers who are being ignored by the “security force”?
Forgive me but doesn’t that make the score 60,000 to one?
As are Annette Benning and Warren Beatty. Also, the woman who played the female commander on Star Trek Voyager (her name escapes me)
Plus, abortion is the reason we now have a flood of illegal immigration.
Looks to me like voluntary manslaughter is the appropriate charge. If the prosecutor doesn’t include voluntary manslaughter as a lesser alternative, s/he is likely to not get a conviction on a second degree murder and then the guy could walk, which I don’t think would be such a bad result.
Prosecutor will have to be very careful on this one since the pro-aborts will want second degree murder to be the charge without the alternative of voluntary manslaughter. Over reaching could benefit the defendant.
A body believed to be that of George Tiller is removed from Reformation Lutheran Church on Sunday. A gunman shot the abortion provider dead in the lobby of the church.
Just out of curiosity, I wonder abort the aborted babies. How are their remains handled?
whole things is a bit odd to me.
Probably in a lot of states that have capital punishment, but not in Kansas. Kansas has very restrictive guidlines with respect to whom may be charged with a capital offense. They are...
The death penalty may only be given in circumstances where a defendant is convicted of pre-meditated first degree murder under the following limited factual circumstances:
* during a kidnapping for ransom
* during a killing committed under a contract or agreement
* the killing of any person by someone confined in a state correctional institution, community correction institution or jail or while in official custody
* a killing during the commission of, or attempt to commit, a rape or aggravated sodomy of any person
* the killing of a law enforcement officer
* the killing of more than one person as part of the same act or in two or more acts connected together
* the killing of a child under age 14 during a kidnapping or aggravated kidnapping with the intent to commit a sex offense upon the child
Finally, I don't believe Kansas has executed anyone in over 30 years. Plus, they only have a handful of people on death row, so it's not something that they dole out with any regularity.
How about that timing?
I’m having masses said and continue to pray for his soul, as well as for his family.
Yes, I read it and that will be a tough sell to the jury after the prosecutor points out that the shooter had time to think about his actions and turn his car around and go home.
Do they now use lethal injection to execute murderers in Kansas or do they still hang murderers as they did to the thugs that killed Herbert Clutter and his family as depicted in the book “In Cold Blood?”
With a real open and notorious killer, you are in danger.
You were not in danger from Dr Tiller, and the state-justified murders were taking place at 1926 Sunflower State Lane, during specified hours. (I made that up, Kansas being the Sunflower State)
Will you also justify the killing of the judges and legislators who permit Dr. Tiller to proceed? Is it also justified to murder Governor DoNothing and Representative GiveADamn?
Tiller is lucky I’m not God.
I’d grade on a curve.
It was hanging until the suspension of the death penalty, now its lethal injection.
Socialism is far more murderous yet media libs always defend it.
Let’s hope one of the pols, top cops or leaders didn’t find out he performed an abortion on their wife (who they didn’t know was cheating or was pregnant and didn’t tell them).
All things come to light... and God knows.
