Democrat calls for Obama to Resign
ArmeniaLive ^ | 5/30/09 | Ted Rall

IT'S INCREASINGLY EVIDENT THAT OBAMA SHOULD RESIGN

The State Journal-Register http://www.sj-r.com/opinions/x12460 932/Ted-Rall-It-s-increasingly-evident-that-Obama-should-resign May 29 2009

MIAMI -- We expected broken promises. But the gap between the soaring expectations that accompanied Barack Obama's inauguration and his wretched performance is the broadest such chasm in recent historical memory. This guy makes Bill Clinton look like a paragon of integrity and follow-through.

>From health care to torture to the economy to war, Obama has reneged on pledges real and implied. So timid and so owned is he that he trembles in fear of offending, of all things, the government of Turkey. Obama has officially reneged on his campaign promise to acknowledge the Armenian genocide. When a president doesn't have the nerve to annoy the Turks, why does he bother to show up for work in the morning?

While I agree that a great “bait and switch” has been pushed on the American voter by a coalition of Democrats and the MSM; I know Joe Bidden would not be an even worse disaster as POTUS. He is the ultimate loose cannon flying from one side of the deck to the other and totally out of control due to his huge ego.

Thank you. You've just caused an epiphany, and I now understand something I've never understood before, namely: why on Earth did Barack Obama choose Joe Biden to serve as his running mate? What did he possibly bring to the ticket? Now I know.

I am an opponent of Barack Obama's policies. In everything from the General Motors bankruptcy to the resignation of David Souter, I would rather things were being done differently. I gave the doomed McCain-Palin campaign a big fat check.

Yet despite all this, do I want Mr. Obama to resign? I do not. Do I hope he is impeached? I do not. Do I wish for scandal to drive him from office, or for him to be struck by a debilitating health condition? I do not. Rather, I fervently hope for Mr. Obama to serve his full term. Because the alternative is President Biden. As bad as Obama is, anyone who knows who Joe Biden is would be horrified to think of him sitting in the big chair in the Oval Office.

And it gets worse. Often in American history, scandal affecting a politician affects those politically close to him as well, so perhaps Barack and Joe get caught by a Fox News photographer double-teaming Monioa Lewinsky in the Situation Room, and they're both out on their bony asses. Good thing? Heck no, because then you can say hello to President Pelosi. I'm not even a Christian yet I feel like I should be making the sign of the cross when I say those two words.

So while the moonbats spent the final 7.5 years of the Bush presidency shrieking "IMPEACH! IMPEACH! IMPEACH!", we do not have the luxury of that escape. God forbid Barack Obama should be impeached, resign, or otherwise fail to serve his full and hopefully only four-year term. Barack Obama will be spared the tiresome unending calls for his impeachment, resignation, or criminal prosecution from his political enemies, and that is the reason for the choice of Joe Biden. Policy disagreements aside, you really have to take your hat off in admiration to the sheer political genius of the Obama machine. Somewhere, Lee Atwater is applauding.

I thought Rall was just crazy when it came to conservatives. Now I see he’s an equal-opportunity crazy.

Really? He makes my flesh crawl.

You know, I used to think he was just another egotistical politician. But his lust for power and opinion of himself seems to know no bounds. I'm starting to get that vibe from him... You know, that vibe that makes a man want to know where his kids, wife, and wallet are...

The left doesn’t have very many intellectual heavyweights. The ones who are use it for criminal persuits.

Obama isn’t left wing enough for Rall. LOL. Hang in there, Ted...no, Obama isn’t Karl Marx. But give him time. He is trying.

Isn’t Rall a far left political cartoonist? He sounds vaguely familiar.

It seems Hussein isn’t quite far left enough for loveable Ted.

” a Somali child is sitting in a prison in
New York, charged with piracy in the Indian Ocean”
This is no “Child” sitting in a N.Y. prison. This is a piece of human disease that kidnapped Americans by steeling their boat.
Try to steel my boat or kidnap me or mine and I’ll kill ya not ship ya off to N.Y. where some Clinton judge will let ya off.

Although on this point we sort of agree, Ted Rall is a glittering example of untreated (and perhaps untreatable) profound mental illness

I would rather Biden take over as president. He may be inept but isn’t the total marxist that Obama is. Obama is Jimmy Carter x10 and Biden is Billy Carter.

Gee, what do you do when you find out that Stalin doesn’t like Hitler? Or Iraq attacks Iran?

Or Ted Rall doesn’t like Obama?

You sit back and hope for more battles.

“I thought Mr. Rall was a member of the Socialist Workers Party.”

Yea - dummy. That is the official name of the party that controls Congress. They just don’t publicize it much, except to their comrades.

I guess some people are waking up tomthe fact that he is all smoke and mirrors. Once in office the voters and the American people are thrown undr the bus and we are considered less than useless.
