You sound like you are very new to the prolife movement (if you are prolife at all, and not a media troll).

Been around a long time. Guess I've just always been a member of the shooting-abortionists-doesn't-help-the-cause-and-doing-apologetics-for-the-act-hurts-too wing of the movement.

The idiot nut case that perpetrated this act has done nothing to further the pro life cause. No babies have been or will be saved. I hope he does the right thing before the day is done and rids the world of a second totally disgusting and evil man; himself.

Apart from the abortion issue, he's done enormous damage to those fighting the media/Hollywood stereotype of all non-leftists as unhinged whackos awaiting orders from Rush Limbaugh to shoot somebody. If you haven't noticed, the left can have all the Unibombers and DC snipers they want. We don't have that luxury. If you can't see that, maybe you're the troll.

I'd be curious to hear what former abortionists (and by that I mean those who eventually found their work repulsive and changed careers) have to say about this incident.

I seem to remember reading a number of quotes from former abortionists who said that a fear of violence was one of the primary reasons for their career change.
