PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — Jerzy Tumaniszwili was a 23-year-old naval gunnery officer in the Polish navy when his destroyer left port to escape the imminent 1939 German invasion of his county.

He achieved the rank of lieutenant commander while serving 5 1/2 years during World War II, chasing German U-boats and protecting troops on D-Day in 1944.

Tumaniszwili emigrated to the United States after the war because he was considered an enemy by the Communist regime that had taken over Poland.

Do you clowns even know what the Polish forces went through during WWII?

The best you can do is Polack jokes?

I'll stop now before I say something that will get me banned.

Thank you. I do know some of what the Polish forces did in WW II, and all I can say is that if another country has to watch our six, I want it to be them.

Yeah, that was pretty uncalled for.

You know they are starting to tell American jokes in Poland now?

How many Americans does it take to change a light bulb?

The punchline is "one".

It brings the house down everytime.

I presume that the Poles think (based on his war record, that he would have risen to Admiral had Poland not fallen to the Communists. the exiled Polish Navy acquitted itself very well during the Second World War.

From what I've been able to gather (from the Polish Wikipedia site, I don't read Polish but can find a warship name) he served aboard ORP Burza, ORP Krakowiak and ORP Piorun

Not only that, but Polish RAF pilots of the 303rd Kosciuszko Squadron were responsible for 1 out of every 6 kills during the Battle of Britain, the highest of any RAF Squadron.

I don't think we have a better friend. Hard to believe after the way we turned our back on them after the war.

The way we are headed with the Kenyan Idiot in charge, Poland looks better and better.

When Polack jokes are cast out only outcasts will be able to tell Polack jokes.

Q: How many community organizers does it take to change a light bulb?

A: Only one, but the light bulb has to want to change.

Please. Community organizers will never, ever change a light bulb. They want the government to send over someone to change the light bulb. Someone black, hispanic, gay, lesbian, transexual, transgender, and/or handicapped(preferably all of the above), who is also a member of a union.

Then they complain when the halfwit the government sends botches the job and sue the government.
