I expect them to create a situation when they are ready.

Sure they will try this.

They will sacrifice human life for their own gain.

Many will fall for the ruse.

Many of us will see through it.

They will be opposed!

They are evil bastards.

But what about the 2nd amendment? And the case last year in which the Supreme Court said explicitly that we have a right as individuals to own guns?

I thought also, that’s why the various gun control laws deal with licensing and registration and trigger locks and such. Because I thought they want to make us jump through hoops to comply with various gun laws without actually banning them.

what happens when the incident they are waiting for turns out to be a domestic terrorist attack where the terrorists end up getting their arses blown off by gun wielding citizens?

They are waiting until there is some national level tragedy, the loss of life involving firearms, to introduce and then pass legislation banning guns.

This logic has always escaped me. What on earth does a microscopic percentage of people committing an extraordinarily rare crime have anything whatever to do with the criminalization and seizure of the guns of sixty million law abiding citizens? The very scale of this fraud is utterly insane.

That’s how the Nazis gained power so fast. They used political skill and the media they controlled to take advantage of each and every national crisis and tragedy.

I doubt if they’re “waiting”. If you have absolutely no morals, why leave it to chance if you can produce your own tragedy tailor made for your evil purposes?

Only if people found out. And even if it started to look suspicious you know you’d never hear a peep on the alphabet networks.

Of of course not, it will all be about how they have to “GET THOSE GUNS” off the streets.

We need to invoke secession before the country falls into social collapse

> “If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them… Mr. and Mrs. America, turn ‘em all in’, I would have done it.”

LOL - You might get the votes, but who would enforce it? How many Federal Officers would turn in their badges rather than get shot doing something illegal and, honestly, stupid? And who would keep the armed forces, who are sworn to uphold the Constitution, from engaging the traitors, who just voted so blatantly against it, in [violent] military action?

Like Create a crisis so they can do things that wouldn’t normally be accomplished?

Of course they are waiting. But why enact legislation when the prez can just declare martial law and accomplish a roundup without congressional authorization?

“I expect them to create a situation when they are ready.”

Bingo!

It will be one of those “opportunities” for ballerina Rahm.

It is typical totalitarian - control freak behavior, someone messes their pants and everyone has to wear diapers.

Except these people have a broader agenda.

My prediction:

By this time next year it will be much more difficult for the average citizen to obtain a gun—if they are not banned outright for all but police and government—inactive military will be banned as well.

Remember, the “it [US Constitution] doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf”.

These are not your run-of-the-mill liberals. These are communists.

This is but the quiet before the storm.

They WILL NOT wait for the people to vote away their power in 2010—it ain’t happening that way, folks.

They are stuck in a Clinton-era time warp.

The difference this time is that millions more citizens own semi-auto rifles and millions more citizens have concealed carry permits now as compared to, say, 1994. Even amongst the Out Door Life crowd in the early 1990’s it was only the nut cases who had AR-15’s, whereas now they are seen as bona fide varmint rifles that have gone main stream (heck, even Remington makes one now). Throw in the Heller decision, and things get interested.

There are also democratic legislators who saw a good number of their comrades booted out of office in 1994 too, and would rather not play that game anymore.

If Obamzo the clown reads “these guns belong on foreign battle fields” off his teleprompter one more time, someone ought to ask if his secret service detail is on a foreign battle field. If disarmament is such a dandy thing then why should the federal government pester private individuals when the federal government could disarm itself with the stroke of a pen?
