Who ya goin' to believe...The Huffington Post or the Heritage Foundation?
I say that, because as I was looking for info, I came across this post over at the Huffington Post (yes, I have decontaminated my computer...) Check this out:
(By some guy called Trooamerican)
Dont you realize you are purposely lying about American families' lives and retirements for a hate based political agenda that hasnt an ounce of truth or decency to it?
These people ARE the middle class in America and they are shrinking due to you and people like you spreading deceit for the only purpose to harm other american families, their children, their communities. You spread a republican agenda of AntiChrist-Level profiteering for the Executive class, while Slapping down the American worker with the only desire to force them to work for minimum wage and no benefits.
The previous highest ever wages for a UAW worker with decades on the job was $29.00/hr which translates to $58k As of concessions made in 2007 on their own with no "Lending crisis" pushing sales down, all new workers start at a lowly $10/hr. Benefits were cut, retirements were cut, pay was cut, jobs lost, etc.
Lie all you want, it doesnt change the fact that these people make the second biggest purchase in most people's lives behind a house, and deserve a good pay, not crappy pay like walMart.
And for those that think sending the domestics down the drain is funny, Chrysler the smallest of the 3 has over 140,000 employees at its dealer network nationwide that will be out of jobs in your communities, and im sure that + suppliers, the autoworkers themselves and supported small businesses losing jobs will just help our economy so nicely.
I post this just in case some of us may forget how completely delusional liberals are.
I'd be willing to bet that the UAW would be at the bottom of the stack.
There is nothing wrong with a labor cost of $75/hour as long as their productivity is something much higher than that.
In the case of the UAW, you know damn well it's below the labor cost.
And my husband was/is one of them. Was a salesman for Dodge for ten years. The dealership he worked for escaped the axe but no such luck with him or half the work force there. Pink slipped after ten years, large, solid customer base with many repeats. Why,he even managed to sell 7 trucks and 4 SUVs in the last 9 weeks, despite all that's going on. Pitched out like an old boot.
He was a lot more miffed (and p.o.) more than depressed. I just gave him a wee kiss and assured him that "Everything happens for the best". But still I kept thinking of that old saying: "When the elephants fight, it's the grass that gets trampled."
Thank you, Lord Obama.
sorry folks, I’m from Texas & still 1/2 our vehicles are pick-ups & most by far are American made. Texas is unlike the Northeast, in the Northeast mostly guys drive pickups for either pleasure or mostly business but in Texas it’s more considered a household car & being a yankee around here is not unusual to see a girl drive a pickup vs up in the Northeast.
I’m sorry folks, but in Texas, made in America will always mean something to us.
Sorry folks, drive the highways in New York, Jersey, Mass, any where up north & they all drive foreign cars.
Hmm, aren’t these same libs on the Americab side?
