WND’s take on why the big names don’t come out and back Savage.

“he is above them spiritually, economically and...”

Says who? Spiritually, if I were him, I’d be concerned for we are accountable for every word that proceeds out of our mouth. I worry about that myself sometimes - we all should - but those who talk for a living are particularly vulnerable.

These conservative commentators realize that Savage is head and shoulders above them intellectually, philosophically and spiritually.

lol..yeah well, I find Savage entertaining and occasionally insightful, but let's not get carried away.

Oops - don’t know where I got “economically” from other than that’s all that’s in the news these days.

I don’t know why anyone thinks Savage is spiritually and intellectually superior to the likes of Prager, Medved, Hewitt, and so forth. No way.

I would agree that Savage “savages” his
conservative competition with name calling
and that this could be why he’s dangling
in the wind. However... when Savage has
a guest, he lets them speak until they
have said what they need to say.

THAT’S refreshing.

Savage used to have good ideas. Since he got thrown off TV, he has become too angry to understand, let alone listen to!

Why wasn't this posted in "Infantile Humor?"

Savage has his moments, but the name calling is mostly counter-productive (except for “the leprechaun”).

Savage has mocking epithets for all the big-named conservative talk show hosts: "Hush Bimbo," "the golfer" (Rush Limbaugh), "the wall-banger" (Sean Hannity), "the leprechaun" (Bill O'Reilly), "the hemorrhoid with ears" (Glenn Beck), etc.

Savage just showing off his "intellectual" and "spiritual" superiority.

Savage mocks his peers and yet expects those same peers to come to his defense? LOL! Savage’s reaping what he sowed. OTOH, his competition do understand that the gov’t are coming after them too and they should circle the wagons a little more.

Savage is a genius in some ways but an idiot at human relations. You do not attract people to support you with childish insults and name calling.

How would any of you Savage sycophants like being called a hemorrhoid with ears?

These conservative commentators realize that Savage is head and shoulders above them intellectually, philosophically and spiritually. Because of their lack of intellectual honesty, rather than learning from Dr. Savage or taking his criticisms to heart, they take the intellectually dishonest approach, put on their hypocrite's hat and do the things against Savage that they for 20 years have so bitterly complained that the Democratic Party and the liberal mainstream media did to them ignoring them, slandering them, libeling them, mocking them. It is shameless hypocrisy writ large!

Obviously this writer is huge into spin. Lack of intellectual honesty????? That moniker applies to Savage and in a huge way - during Bush 43's two terms he would one day praise Bush, and then the next tear him down. Savage would go on rants and raves that only further convinced me that he is not conservative, but a wolf in sheeps clothing trying to make conservatives in this country appear as racists and mean to anyone not like them. Most of Savage's show was filled with no evidence but lots of innuendo and ad hominem attacks - mostly aimed at conservatives while giving passes to liberals. Savage is either a stooge for the liberals in this country or he's one of them of his own choosing.

This guy makes a pretty good case for Savage, if you read the whole article.

But the fact is, you reap what you sow.

For instance, there’s nothing wrong with pointing out when Rush is wrong, or you think he is wrong. But do it rationally and charitably, since he’s on your side most of the time.

As for Savage being more intelligent than Rush, that’s a pretty hard case to make.

* The reason why Fox News, Rush, Hannity, conservative talk radio and the mainstream media daily ignores the work of Michael Savage is because he calls them names all the time.

Uh...I'm not sure that's a reason for a news organization to not cover something newsworthy.

Other talk show hosts ignoring it is one thing-- but for a News Organization to do that because they were called names sets a bad precedent. CNN, MSNBC are guilty of it as well with regard to the tea parties.

He has the right to offend; be offensive; and invite such by return. MS does not deserve; anymore than Geert Wilders; or whomever else the Brits deems 'offensive' i.e. 'offensive to Muslims, that is'; and so be barred from entering their Country.

This IS NOT THE STUFF of Democracies! It is an insane capitulation of the British Government; and no matter what else; everyone should be defending Michael Savage.

When has Rush or Hannity ever attacked Savage?

The reason why Rush is so popular and despised by the Left is that he doesn't come off as a barking, wild-eyed, foaming at the mouth extremist. He doesn't fit the Left's template of what conservatives are and that's why he's hated. That's why he's targeted by the Left. It's not Rush's fault that he knows how to deal with the Left better than Savage. But I don't recall Rush ever saying anything about Savage.

I like Savage, and he serves his niche for the right as to who he is. He shouldn't change. But he shouldn't be a hater, either.
