good for you. I think small schools are probably the future of education. I would rather have 8 families pay a a couple of great motivated teachers and focus on the child's strengths of science, music, golf, soccer for the rest of the day as most Olympians do, rather than sit in a public robot school that focuses on their political agenda and not the students welfare.

We did 1/2 day schedules with focus on science one day at the river or trip to the valley for bird watching. Another week was government. We went to the State house and sat in on a legislative meeting. The kids learned a lot and then did a power point presentation to the parents after. Tell me they did not learn. They were 3rd graders and loved school.

I concur 100% that hands on experiences like that teach so much more than just sitting in a classroom!

Public schools should spend more of field trips and less on sports...
