UC Santa Cruz students launch hunger strike over budget cuts

SANTA CRUZ -- More than 100 students and staff from UC Santa Cruz gathered at the foot of campus Tuesday to launch a hunger strike aimed at urging administrators to reverse course on budget cuts that opponents say disproportionately affect students of color.

Only at UC Santa Cruz where Angela Davis was made a full professor. Why can't these students understand that the first place the budget ax should fall is on their sanctimonious, hate America uninversity programs? Good luck with the hunger strike.

These lib brats pulled something like this at some east coast school. It may have been Brandeis after Madoff lost their endowment. The kids had a sit in and they shut off their wireless internet and the kids went nuts.

The hunger strike will probably be only 2 meals a day.

We had students of engineering, students of math, some students of medicine even, but my university did not have this department.
