Kindred Hospital and its corporate bosses in Kentucky got a lesson in patriotism Wednesday.
After a thorough roasting in the blogosphere, Kindred officials decided to let hospital supervisor Debbie McLucas put an American flag back on her office wall.
"We have invited the employee (McLucas) to put the flag back up," Kindred said in a brief press release.
McLucas did not return phone calls from The Dallas Morning News on Wednesday but she told her story on KRLD radios early-morning talk show. She said her husband spent 24 years in the U.S. Army. One son is an ex-Marine and a second son is an Army veteran. A daughter is a combat medic serving in Iraq.

How nice. She should never have been made to take it down. If I lived there, I would still choose to be taken to the next closest hospital.
This was one of the most despicable stories I read about so I’m glad to hear that this lady has been allowed to rehang her flag.
The supervisor who bent to this PC crap should be fired today!
Now that the flag is back up, it’s time to get the anti-American African co-worker deported.
The coworker, who emigrated from Africa 14 years ago, was apparently so bothered by the display that a complaint was filed with upper management...
McLucas said her supervisor removed the flag for her and placed it on the floor — an egregious breach of flag etiquette, aside from being an offensive gesture to most Americans.
And another thing, that African woman who was “offended” by the flag of the United States of America can take her sorry ass back to wherever she came from. We have men and women fighting for her right to be an American-hating jerk.

Maybe a Muslim ?
At the very LEAST, she should be FIRED!
“The supervisor who bent to this PC crap should be fired today!”
Us two caribou agree on that!
I wonder if she’s even a citizen.
“Maybe a Muslim ?”
Could be. Or just another flamin’ American-hatin liberal.
The damage has been done. The patriotic American has learned that the current society is not comfotable with what were in her mind constant guiding stars — flag, country and patriotism.
She now knows the complaining immigrants get first crack, she now knows that she can’t trust her heart and she now knows she is viewed as a problem person in he job even at her rank.
Elections have consequences. Hey, on another matter, have you heard that Great Educator, Ward Churchill, is making a comeback? Isn’t Hope and Change grand?
I wondered that as well, but the article doesn’t say. Only mentioned that she’s been here 14 years. Throw her back in the pond.
I think the most annoying part of this entire story is immigrants being allowed to come here through our generosity, take jobs that native-born Americans could perform just as well, and THEN TRY TO TELL US WHAT DO DO, and forbid us from doing something we’ve been doing for more than a century. IF OUR FLAG IS SO OFFENSIVE, go back to Africa.
I wonder if shes even a citizen.

I’m thinking ‘green card’.
When I read that story I was absolutely outraged and all Americans should be. Glad they changed their tune. Who would believe this? Since they gave people the right to BURN our flag, you’d think displaying one would be a no-brainer.
“Now that the flag is back up, itâs time to get the anti-American African co-worker deported.”
Agree, but I’d rather see our anti-American, African President deported first.
I was outraged too. I called them long distance and left a voice mail that read them the riot act! I suspect I wasn’t alone.
