Feud with Obama continues

By CAROL E. LEE

Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons continued his fight with the White House Wednesday, telling a local television station the invitation ...

to greet Obama at the airport was “nonsense” and blaming President Obama for costing Las Vegas $100 million.

“It is a grip-and-grin — Hi, how are you, goodbye — and then he goes on to the next person,” Gibbons, a Republican, said in a telephone interview with the local ABC station. “That’s nonsense. That’s not a meeting.”

“I want a sit-down meeting,” Gibbons said, continuing to criticize the president for invoking Las Vegas in a rebuke of corporate excess.

The volatile governor also said that Obama is making the economy worse, particularly in Las Vegas.

“What happened when he made that statement and because of the power of his words,” Gibbons said in a separate interview with ABC News. “One hundred million lost to the economy of Las Vegas.”

Gibbons went on about the proposed airport greeting, calling it “a phony set up by the administration to try to quell the anger that has come because this president spoke ill of Las Vegas.”

He needs to join the anti Reid campaign to show the Rats something.
Why any GOP Gov shows up for a grip and grin is beyond me.

The Chicago Mafia may have a horse’s head put in Gibbon’s bed for this act of defiance.

The Vegas Mob may return the favor.

He should throw Reid’s name in there with his griping. E.g., “Senator Reid is no help either, he’s just using Obama to raise money for himself. Doing nothing for Nevadans.”

I would have prefered if he had denied Obama landing rights, but I’ll take what I can get.

Gibbons needs to keep this up. 0bama personally shot at the economy of Nevada, in particular Las Vegas with his remarks. He should be help accountable or at least discuss it with the Governor. If Barry doesn’t meet with Gibbons, then Gibbons should keep up a publicity campaign against him until he promotes Vegas or has a productive meeting, not a drive-by at the airport.

Seems like not long ago (2-3 years?), Vegas supplanted Chicago as the #1 convention destination in the US (by number of attendees).

Hmmmmmm......

The Vegas Mob may return the favor.

The Vegas Mob is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Chicago Mafia.

The author thinks anyone that vehemently objects to The One is irrational and potentially violent.

The volatile governor also said that Obama is making the economy worse, particularly in Las Vegas

The real mob wouldn't let the half-wit in chief get away with killing mob revenue.

I always find it humorous how much power people ascribe to the mob, yet for three years they couldn’t kill one of the most visible people in the world, Fidel Castro, even with U.S. government resources.
