""From: "Lauren Wolfe, CDAAA" Friends,
"The Democratic Party platform is contrary to the mission of [the] university and to Christian doctrine."
Can you imagine if your university said that to you when you were a College Democrat? If they used those hateful words to banish you from campus?
Well, on Friday, Liberty University -- the largest Christian Evangelical university in the world -- said exactly that as they kicked out the school's College Democrats chapter. Now, it's time to fight back.
Tell Liberty University to allow the College Democrats back on campus.
According to Mark Hine, a university vice president, the College Democrats were banned because the Democratic Party advocates for "the 'LGBT' agenda" and "socialism." And the school's president, Jerry Falwell Jr., said, "I just hope [the students] find a pro-life family organization to affiliate with so they can be endorsed by Liberty again." As College Democrats, we can't take this kind of hateful rhetoric lying down.
Don't wait. Fight back now. Tell Liberty University to reverse its ruling.
This fight is bigger than any one of us, and we're not going to reverse this ruling alone. But together, the strength of our voices can change the policies of Liberty University.
So forward this e-mail to your friends. Link to the petition on Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. It's time to show Mark Hine and Jerry Falwell Jr. that the College Democrats deserve their place at Liberty University once again.
Democratically yours,
Lauren Wolfe Former President, College Democrats of America Board of Directors, CDAAA""

""Liberty University Bans College Democrats - Fight Back! Liberty Universitythe largest and fastest-growing Christian Evangelical university in the worldhas closed its doors to its campus College Democrats chapter. The Virginia school told chapter leaders plainly: "The Democratic Party platform is contrary to the mission of Liberty University and to Christian doctrine."
The university is telling chapter leaders that they can't use the university's name, hold meetings on campus, or advertise eventsif they try, they'll earn a reprimand that could lead to expulsion. Apparently it's not okay to be a Democrat, a Christian, and a Liberty University student all at the same time.
Well, we simply won't stand for it. Fill out the fields below to tell Liberty University's Vice President for Student Affairs to reverse his ruling and allow the Liberty Dems back on campus.""
it’s okay. there’s a big democrat club at slavery university. in fact, membership is mandatory.
This girl is grabbing a bullhorn to make herself famous at Liberty U's expense.
If Liberty's policies are so 'hateful' (never mind that the Democrat Party's stance on abortion is tantamount to real hate crimes, i.e. innocent unborn people getting killed for nothing) then they should give this witch and the rest of the "College Democrats" a refund and kick their butts out.
Dear God ,please make Notre Dame wake up and do the same.
First a chapter of student Democrats at a Christian University, next will be chapters of Satan Worshipers. (Not much difference between the two.) They’ve got rights too, ya know?
Amen!
“Liberty is a private school, not funded by taxpayer money, so the whining libs have no leverage on them to change. Liberty can tell them to shove it and wont suffer at all by doing so.”
_____________
Except that these students are part of the private organization and paid their money to be a part. If they were not apprised of the University’s policy of discrimination before they were admitted or if it has changed since they paid their tuition, they have good grounds for a law suit. Can get their money back perhaps and maybe for “damages”.

Please email them (keep it nice) at
To not let the left wing democrats get away with this BOLD LIE!!! Please take a stand. You can read what really happened at
http://www.liberty.edu/news/index.cfm?PID=18495&MID=8373
Inform them that as it always seems with democrats, they did not check out their story all the way. Liberty Univ. just said that they do not want the group (which is still allowed to meet ON CAMPUS) to use “Liberty University” in it’s name.
Is there much of a difference? Abortion is their sacrament, human sacrifice to Molech, Chemosh or Dagon, or all we know...
I’m in the process of being accepted for Grad School at Liberty and wrote them an email over the weekend telling them that if I wasn’t absolutely sure about LU, I AM NOW! I respect the school administration for putting it’s money where it’s mouth is. AND, I’m a Catholic. No how, no way would I consider Notre Dame because they’ve lost their moral foundation.
Here is the letter I just emailed them at

I was sorry to hear how you are distorting the truth about what happened with the democratic group at Liberty University. I can only assume you are trying to make a name for yourself by telling people only 1/2 of a story. That is deceptive to say the least. If you knew your bible, you would know that the snake twisted the truth in the garden of Eden to get Eve to eat of it’s fruit. This is not how one builds credibility as it can come back on you one day.
Here is where you can read what Liberty has to say about it (if you dare).
http://www.liberty.edu/news/index.cfm?PID=18495&MID=8373
The group can still meet at Liberty it just can not use Liberty’s name as part of the groups name. That is totally different for the story you are telling people.
If your aim is about fairness at a school, you would complain about schools that WILL NOT let pro-life groups even have a group let alone meet at a school. Your double standard is to pathetic.
Now they know how Conservatives at Government schools feel.
The only difference is that Liberty University’s actions are legal whereas Government censorship is not...
...so we can get back to our primary mission of shutting down conservative clubs and speakers on college campuses."

...and their Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. has a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law. I wouldn't pick a fight with him.
I have taken the opportunity to rewrite the message that the Liberty Dems want us to send. We need to support Liberty University for taking a courageous stand unlike that of the back-sliders at Notre Dame.
I sent it with the heading “Approval for the actions of Liberty University”
It now reads
“I was elated to learn of your decision to ban the Liberty University College Democrats from organizing on campus. Your display of principle stands in stark contrast to the pusillanimous decision made thy Notre Dame.
College campuses, no matter their religious affiliation, are prized in this country for their unique potential to foster the vigorous exchange of ideas that is the fount of our democracy and the strength of our nation. However this does not mean that the University is to permit a forum or platform to others that espouse actions and ideas that would lead to the demise of the institution. This one logical fact makes it imperative that you take the action that you did and I continue to applaud you for it and spread the courage that you display. Some matters verily shout that fairness requires and uneven application of the rules. After all it would be “fair “to give both views on the matter of rape; that of the would be rapist and that of the proposed victim. Can there be a middle ground in their views without harm to the victim?
Moreover, your decision as it stands today places into context the utterings of the students of the disbanded Liberty Democrats chapter — a faulty logic that has led them to speak out in opposition to a war meant to free the oppressed, to love those who think as they do while shouting defamitorily at those who dare hold differing or opposing views, and to enslave those “who can not think for themselves” under the guise of protecting the earth, thinking themselves the sole guardians of the land that God has lovingly provided to all human beings.
I respectfully urge you to stand by your decision in the face of the fury that will be raised by the body politic and its minions in the press.
Sincerely,
To destroy it.
Why ban when you can co-opt?
I am an Alumnus (of Liberty) and I will call them tomorrow saying I support their decision, and telling them not to give in to Democratic pressure groups (most of which would ~never~ step foot on Liberty University Campus)!
Well there is only one problem with that (I don’t support outright ban either becuase many of these students probably dissnet from the national Democrat party too), but I DO support the decision at this time because they canvassed for (and supported Obama-who himself is for abortion and for “gay rights”).
