Welcome to the USAASP (the “United States Affirmative Action Supreme Court”)!
To: reaganaut1
Whatever the current “verdict” on Sotomayor is, I guarantee we will be cursing her name in the future. She will be a leftist activist. No good can come out of this illegal “president”, even by accident.
To: reaganaut1
I'm a little surprised he didn't pick Diane Wood. Soto isn't well like even among Democrats, she's described as something of a megalomaniac.
Which explains why Obama likes/relates to her.

The present Court should decide if 0bama is actually the POTUS, before he starts packing his lefties on it.

Picking a high jumper for the SCOTUS? Never mind, that was Javier Sotomayor from CUBA.

I expected this. Obama is moving to cement the Hispanic vote AND hire another liberal.

Affirmative Action pick. Nothing more and nothing less.

From Wiki
Widely considered a political centrist by the American Bar Association Journal and others, Sotomayor was nominated on November 27, 1991, by President George H. W. Bush to a seat on the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York vacated by John M. Walker, Jr. (the president’s cousin). She became the youngest judge in the Southern District and the first Hispanic federal judge anywhere in New York State.

Sounds like she will be the most liberal judge on the court and she thinks she makes the laws.
Noonan, Brooks, what say you fools now?

. . . and only the third female justice in the history of the Supreme Court. It is going to take a long time for the women to catch up.

Sotomayor is an absolute liberal/socialist idealogue.
America gets what it voted for, and this undeniably underscores the betrayal of conservatism by the Rino loser non-campaign run by the elite last November.
The announcement by the Treasury that a CRISIS had to be fixed in DAYS has turned out to be a huge lie. That money STILL isn’t spent.
That means that a republican was intentionally derailed by someone on his own side.
They wanted an Obama win, and SCOTUS was one of the major reasons they wanted it.
Huge Betrayal!

Wow it only took twenty minutes for the news media to shelve her liberal record and talk up the “rags to riches story” I guess if we can get an American Idol president why not glamorize his supreme court picks.
Expect a tv movie starring JLO sometime next year.

when you read the media try to play her as a centrist or have nothing negative to say about her, or try to confince the republicans about the dangers of oppose her because she’s hispanic, as if opposing her will make hispanic angry.... then you know she an activist

The question is, will the GOP fight her nomination or cave in front of this feel good story of the “first Hispanic woman to sit on the Supreme Court”?
