Nappy said he predicted Diane Wood- would have been perceived as a consensus builder- Sotomayor is a clear idealogue.

A few weeks ago, I received phone calls from eminent liberal scholars I know and trust. These scholars closely follow Sotomayor’s work and expressed questions about her temperament. They did not have axes to grind or personal agendas; they are Democrats who want President Obama to appoint the most effective liberal Supreme Court justices possible and were concerned Sotomayor might not meet that high standard.http://www.tnr.com/politics/story.html?id=6168aeb7-9869-43eb-b401-2204a0d84478

"Sotomayor is a clear idealogue."
Any of his choices were going to be leftists. THIS choice was putting her typecast above her age and health. She's a little older and her health is not great. That's a trade I'll take because it changes little except the time of his choice on the bench.
I think it's the best we can expect from this Administration. Elections have consequences.
Besides. Wait and see. DailyKOS and DU are going to have a fit about her age and health. The left in general is going to be apoplectic over this pick.
