SEOUL, South Korea – North Korea launched tests Tuesday of two more short-range missiles a day after detonating a nuclear bomb underground, a news report said, pushing the regime's confrontation with world powers further despite the threat of U.N. Security Council action.
Two missiles — one ground-to-air, the other ground-to-ship — with a range of about 80 miles (130 kilometers) were test-fired from an east coast launch pad, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported, citing an unnamed government official.
South Korean spy chief Won Sei-hoon had informed lawmakers earlier Tuesday that a missile test was likely, according to the office of Park Young-sun, a legislator who attended the closed-door briefing.
Yonhap reported that North Korea was preparing to launch a third missile from a west coast site, again citing an unnamed official.
North Korea appeared to be displaying its might a day after conducting an underground atomic test in the northeast that the U.N. Security Council condemned as a "clear violation" of a 2006 resolution banning the regime from developing its nuclear program.

BO will then be 'put to sleep', quickly and quietly.

Obama is likely to screw this up just like Clinton did. The problem is that the stakes are much higher.
The GOP needs to hold the feet of Obama and his ilk up to the fire. The louder we are now, the more likely we’ll gain seats in 2010 due to the public flocking to the Republicans to defend us from Obama’s weak foreign policies.
Putting tin foil firmly on, perhaps Obama and NK arranged this all as a big show to ultimately make Obama look tough.
So in a week or two, NK will say they’re backing down, and Obama looks good.

[Jeff, I’ve pinged you in order for you to review what I’m seeing as far as the drawing of alliances in our world right now. I know you probably have a much better view on these things than I, but I was wondering if you are seeing the same things, or whether you think I’m totally off-base in this speculative theory of mine...]
AIT: Obama dyed his hair throughout the campaign. There were several threads about it here actually. Now I guess he’s letting the gray show through so he looks wiser...
To bad actions speak louder than words, and looks. Wisdom? HA! I’d wager a bet that 90% of those who regularly post on FR have more wisdom than Obama has in his little finger...
BTW: Prayers for all of you over there in Japan, and especially for the South Koreans. The way I see the alliances being drawn and knowing that Obama does NOT WANT to honor NATO and defend those allied nations things are NOT looking good.
Here is how I see Communist/Islamic alliances at this point (layman’s opinion ahead! LOL)
The Alliance AGAINST Freedom (anti-US, anti-”Western”):
Russia, China, N. Korea, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, “Palestine”, Pakistan (soon if the Muslim Radicals succeed in taking complete control), Venezuela, Cuba, and all the various Muslim Radical Terrorist Organizations that are (IMO) actually acting like mercenaries, and “un-official” armies of some of the above mentioned nations. There are more of course that I have not mentioned (members of the 57 States Muslim Alliance)...
America, as led by Obama is no longer even in the equation at this point. Obama can’t boldly declare his alliances at this point, and instead will work from within in line with the goals of these communists and Islamic nations to weaken the U.S. to the point that we are no longer able to defend anyone, much less ourselves. [Not that Obama will really do ANYTHING - I even worry he will do NOTHING even if the US itself IS affected, or our soldiers — just like Clinton with the Cole situation...]
I may be wrong, but I see an alliance between the Muslim Radicals working for a Worldwide Caliphate, Communists who have never given up the dream of World Control, and then that is all mixed with pure Globalists sitting in the U.N. who are a basically worthless body of folks who talk much, but do nothing...
Anyway, I continue to pray about all of these things, and I hope and pray I’m wrong in what I’m seeing, but I think these are alliances of convenience at this point. Once the “Western” nations are brought into compliance (or brought to their knees as the case may be), THEN we will see an all-out fight between the Communists and the Islamic Radicals, and the Globalists (if they are not already allied with the Communists) fighting for control of the New World Government...
As I said before, this is all speculation, and I really do hope I’m wrong...
Kim Jong il has adjudged Obama to be an extreme lightweight; Japan in its senior circles has come to this conclusion but neither they nor the national Japanese media have in large measure told the people here. Learned observers catch all the nuances. These are extremely dangerous times for a lot of people and a lot of countries. It might all be destiny, actually, in a Biblical sense. I am beginning to think of it in those terms. It is almost like a perfect storm. The American People a) electing Obama; and b) acting like sheeple and keeping him at high popularity levels despite what our enemies know to be the case, is the first opening salvo just kicking off a chain reaction of things. In my humble opinion.
I also view some of these things as inevitable due to my faith and belief in the Bible as well. Like you said — the perfect storm in regards to setting up a LOT of things that the Bible warns of, especially as it applies to Israel right now, too...

The only upside to all this is that maybe Kim Young IL will level Washington DC before Obama and the dems turn this country into a socialist country...oh wait, we have missile defense right? What? Obama turned back the funding for that project? Hmmmm....
