The Boston Globe ran a front-page story today about two serious crimes that have occurred in our little town in the past month. Go to the Globe if you want to read the article.
My issue is the following "fact" in the main article: "Talk around town typically turns to taxes or big-money real estate transactions."
Now, Jenna Russell and Sarah Schweitzer, the intrepid reporters, carried out most of their "investigation" on the telephone. Whether either of them ever set foot here is unknown,
But the fact that they did not partake of "typical" talk around town is, of course, a certainty. If they did, they would know that we spend most of our time cliniging to our guns and to our religion < /sarcasm>
Nevertheless, to feign a familiarity with a town of which they know nothing, they inserted an entirely made-up "fact" into a serious news story about two serious crimes.
Why are they going out of business?
Because they make sh*t up, that's why.
I suspect the only reason the reporters ever set foot in New Hampshire is to shop tax-free at the Rockingham Mall.
Let’s face it, you can get liberal propaganda for free. You don’t need to pay the Globe for it. There are a dozen liberal nutcases on every street corner telling you that Obama is the Messiah and Bush is an ape.
The left gave W a promotion?
The left gave W a promotion?
LOL!
because it’s been a bad bad newspaper and it is in a big timeout
“Because they make sh*t up, that’s why.”

In an interview, the editor of the LA Times bragged that he went into journalism because it was an “inexact” “profession”.
In other words, training , standards, ongoing education, accuracy, diligence and especially, accountability do not apply, like they do on a daily basis in any true profession.
“Why are they going out of business?
Because they make sh*t up, that’s why.”
Basically, there are no real reporters or oped writers with the left wing Dinosaur fish wraps.
The so called reporters like this pair, use the Jayson Blair style of reporting, where they never go near what they supposedly were investigating the story.
Or as in the case of many so called oped writers, they just spew the DNC pr lines or plagerize someone else’s writing.
“”Bush is an ape”
The left gave W a promotion?”
That’s racist... to the ape
Here’s a good example as to why the Boston Globe is going out of business from this mornings posts:

If the B Glob wanted to raise taxes, why don’t they add a $4 tax on their paper and give the $$ to their beloved gummit?? Think of all the poor they could hep.
Pray for America and Our Troops
>>> I suspect the only reason the reporters ever set foot in New Hampshire is to shop tax-free at the Rockingham Mall. <<<
Or cheap booze and cigs in Salem.
"The main reason to raise the gas tax... What we need are policies that send clear market signals encouraging change."
I would say "That's just unbelieveable" but it's the Globe and so of course it's completely believable.
You are left with the impression that they don't know anything about anything, and that they will twist any event around to make some liberal 'teaching moment'.
After a few pages, you don't even trust them to report the weather or sports.
It is a gut kind of impression, but the paper is bogus through and through.
They did one thing right two weeks ago. They had a whole page of letters to the editor from readers telling them why they are dying.
Couldn't believe they printed all the letters, which were, ten-to-one, the same thing: You do nothing but tell liberal lies 7-24-365, and support the Rat cause to the exclusion of all logic, decency, reason, and fair play. Begone.
They actually printed those letters. I could not believe it.
All that those letters proved to the Globe was how much of their audience is "uneducated".
Surely, it inspired them to re-double their efforts to correctly "inform" their subscribers...
At the risk of repeating myself, I’ll retell the the tale of why I walked away from professional journalism.
I was working part time for a local newspaper and offering my volunteer services as a photographer for the college newspaper. I refused to write for them because I was getting paid to write elsewhere, but I wasn’t technically a photographer and I wanted to contribute something to the school.
The editor assigned me to photograph the Lippizaner Stallions at a show in the school’s amphitheater. The writer of the story was a young woman who was an up and comer on the school paper. She was an editor. So I asked her to go with me to cover the event and coordinate our work.
She informed me that she had no intention to attend the event. I asked her how she planned to write the story. She told me that she had already written it. In other words, she planned to regurgitate their press releases.
Fans of The Odd Couple tv show recall what happens to reporters who fake stories. This was long before Jason Blair or Janet Cooke became internationally renowned falsifiers of the news.
Okay, maybe she didn’t like The Odd Couple, but still. One of the advantages of a job as a reporter is access. You get to see and do things not open to the general public. Since the pay is often low, the new experiences are one of the ancillary benefits. At least, you’d think so. You’d at least think that someone whose chosen profession is about finding truth would have an open mind and a thirst for knowledge. You’d be wrong.
Promises, promises!
The delightful, joyful end of this evil democrat anti-American propaganda conduit cannot come too soon!
Another reason they’re going out of business is it took two reporters to write the story.
