[RINO] Mitt Romney preps for 2012 with Virginia tour
Politico ^ | 2009-05-22 | Jonathan Martin

In another sign that he’s eying a second run for the presidency, Mitt Romney is planning a series of stops in Virginia next week to help Republican candidates running in the commonwealth’s off-year election.

Virginia is one of a handful of states with competitive races this year, and one where Republican officials feel best about their prospects for victory.

The former Massachusetts governor is the featured guest at the high-dollar gala next Friday prior to the Virginia GOP’s state convention in Richmond — one of the party’s chief fundraising events.

He’s running out of Republican hacks and their organizations to buy. Time to start making his move.

Free Republic trashed Mitt at every chance it got before the last primary election. That's what a primary is for, to filter out all the RINOs and work for the most Conservative candidate possible.

FR and Jim Robinson turned out to be full-throated McCain supporters.

I take it you don't know the difference between a primary and a general election. First, I doubt anyone here was a 'full throated (whatever the hell that means) McCain supporter', most are full throated Obama opposers. I believe Jim stated over and over, it was Palin pushed him over the top to support the ticket.

Palin who was always considered a RINO by Alaskan conservatives and still is.

Err.. no she isn't. Her main opposition comes from establishment 'good old boys network' RINOs. One pro-life group attacked her on bad information and when they where called out on it, they retracted their statement. That was the closest thing to 'conservative' opposition she had.

Are you a FR Newby? You didn't see Jim's pre-super Tuesday post supporting McCain? Gimme a break. And obviously you know nothing of Alaskan politics. If you are a one issue voter--right to life--then Palin might be your candidate. But that's a loser for us. Better to support Huckabee if that's your position.

I will not attack Mitt Romney but I will state one fact that clearly demonstrates that not one candidate was dominant in the 2008 campaign.

When McCain was down and out in Sept. 2007 and broke, not Mitt, Huck, or Rudy could put the maverick away for good. Instead because of their lack of strength McCain was allowed to recover and eventually become the nominee.

That fact is undeniable. If Mitt, for example, had been a dominant candidate he would have been able to put McCain away for good. That is not a personal attack on his character but simply a political reality of his ability to command support.

Lot more experienced with FR than you are son, I noticed about half your few posts just attack fellow FReepers and you started out here by complaining that Palin ‘dressed like a teenager’.

Jim made it very clear in several posts why he supported McCain in the general election. But I suppose you would just have him support O’Bambi or some of the third party nuts for ‘intellectual purity’ huh?

Go look up the difference between a General Election and a Primary Election and get back with us.

The chances that Sarah Palin is a RINO is the same possibility that I am a going to win the lottery.

You have a truth allergy?

Funny you would project it on Diogensis, they embrace truth will seemingly no ill effect...

“What say the rest of you? Would you support Liz Cheney?”

Would you support Elizabeth Dole? She was married to a conservative, fighter pilot hero. He was the leader of the GOP. She even appeared conservative at the time.

I’m not discounting Mrs. Cheney’s public stances or even the conservative words that she wrote in her book, but just because she was married to Dick Cheney does not mean that we should all throw our unwavering support to her ex-boss. Besides, how do you know in a year or two that she won’t start attacking my rights like Lizzy Dole did in her vicious attack on guns?

I prefer a candidate who has demonstrated his long held conservative principles through his actions. Sadly Mitt fails miserably in that regard.

What condition is that?

Wanting to see truth win over corruption?
Wanting to see hypocrits exposed like a putrid abcess?
Wanting to see backstabbers exposed so they will not
create more victims of their blades?

Romney = Putrid Abcess

RomneyBOTs = metastatic embolism of fetid abcess

Once again, the slimy RomneyBOT Reaganesque gives a personal
attack against me, for no reason except that:
Liar Reaganesque, ad hominem thrower Reaganesque
butt-licker Reaganesque is unable to rebut critism of his little imposter carpetbagger, Mitt Romney.

Poor Reaganesque, unable to rebut criticism of liar Mitt Romney
decides to bloody Free Republic with posters and other candidates.

Mitt Romney, you are nothing but a double plus POS.

Romney: "Thank ME that my faithful, blind RomneyBOTs, like Reaganesque
keep working, and lying, from their basements for ME, subverting honest Americans, and lurkers and FReepers
from reading about my scurrilous, carpetbagging, record, my fake endorsements,
my fake troopers,
sporting fake badges, ‘illegal’ security tactics, bizarre staffers,
hatred of the military, release of unrepentant murderers, receipt of AIG Contributions in 2008 ,
my imposition of gay marriage by usurping the Mass. Constitution,
my infliction of socialized medicine without a vote to impose European "healthcare" (except for me),
my abuse of Seamus violating Massachusetts's animal cruelty laws,
most say were uncalled for
for making me a presidential candidate of distinction in many ways leading to
TIME's 200 comments from readers complaining of animal cruelty

which did unfairly expose me,
like the Globe about my Belmont illegal alien sanctuary,
or so many about my team secretly criticizing and attacking Gov. Palin
and the other GOP candidates who otherwise might have won."
