In another sign that hes eying a second run for the presidency, Mitt Romney is planning a series of stops in Virginia next week to help Republican candidates running in the commonwealths off-year election.
Virginia is one of a handful of states with competitive races this year, and one where Republican officials feel best about their prospects for victory.
The former Massachusetts governor is the featured guest at the high-dollar gala next Friday prior to the Virginia GOPs state convention in Richmond one of the partys chief fundraising events.

We will never vote for another RINO period.
Voted for McCain and held our nose while doing so.
We will sit out an election before voting for another RINO.

Romney spent 20 bazillion dollars in 2008 running for president and got a handful of votes for the effort against a very weak field.
Why does he think he’ll be more successful in 2012?
To: rabscuttle385
I will rather chop off my hands than vote for him.

Romney would have been 100 times better than McCain. But still we can do much better in 2012.

Mitt Romney has used his agents to attack Gov. Palin and her children.
In the MSM, and here on FR.
"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"
"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"
"Romney Supporters Trashing Palin"
"Romney advisors sniping at Palin?"
Poor sport spoiler Romney attacks other GOP candidatesn:
Novak: "Fred Thompson drop-out rumors traced to Romney campaign"
Said Novak: "The rumors were traced in part to Mitt Romney's campaign,
trying to stir up strife between McCain and Thompson."
"Despite outspending his rivals by huge margins throughout the primaries,
(Mitt Romney, Carpetbagger UT,CA,MA,NH,Mexico) lost Iowa, South Carolina, Florida and California.
The only primaries he won were in Michigan, where Dad was governor; LDS states;
and a few states on Super Tuesday in which his California-obsessed rivals
couldn't spare the cash to advertise.
Only John Connolly in 1968 had a worse cash-to-delegates ratio.
And John McCain rightly did not like Romney's tactics during the primaries.
(W)hen (Romney's early leads) started slipping away, he resorted to unfair,
distorted, scorched-earth negative ads, betting that his opponents couldn't
afford to spend enough for the truth to catch up to his charges."
[Romney: A Mistake for McCain, 7/23/2008, Dick Morris]
Traitor Romney has even sent his RomneyBOT to FR to sabotage Election2008
after Romney was spurned, and to hurt other GOP contenders thereafter.
mbraynard admitted he once was even a PAID Romney operative.
mbraynard's company has a history of GOP targeting.
Therefore, one point of the manipulation and targeting of Gov. Sarah Palin by mbraynard and Mitt Romney
on FReeRepublic and elsewhere, has been to improve Romney s carpetbagging business and mbraynard's scam
of taking money to secretly influence voters using FR.
"Expert Voter Targeting
Matt Braynard spent three election cycles working for the Republican National Committee developing their voter vault project. He understands both how to build your universe of voters and how to best reach them.
First, our firm develops your initial universe of voters whom we anticipate will turnout for election. This universe includes phone numbers, addresses, precinct assignment, and the voting history of each individual voter, along with a wealth of information on political preferences and demographics.
Then we segment the universe using indicators including issue preferences (Pro-life, gun rights, etc.), geography, age, marital status, income, and numerous other attributes.
After analyzing the voters, we are able to start providing data to mail and phone vendors, and maps, walk-lists and call sheets to volunteers. We then take the data we get back from these contact efforts and use it to enhance our voter database.
For example, volunteers using walk lists and maps go door to door to canvass. Households who indicate they are supportive of our candidate will be captured from the barcodes on the list. Those supporters are then included among those the volunteers call in the final 48 hours to encourage turnout.
Our firm has a long record of accomplishment, most recently on behalf of the Alabama Farmer's Federation. In the 2006 cycle, we developed and coordinated targeting universes for over sixty of their targeted legislative races and won all but ten. "

With all the money he spent (mostly his own) and did poorly against a non field, why on earth does he think he would have even the slimiest chance of winning anything?

He couldn't win with huge financial advantage and in a weak Presidential field because conservatives don't trust him. He is delusional if he thinks he is going to be the 2012 nominee.
