President Hussein and Mrs. Hussein are reportedly removing portraits of presidents past from the White House and replacing them with abstract art.
Remember, in Cambodia, when the Khumer Rouge took over, they declared it to be "year one," and removed all references to the past.
Abstract art rather than pictures of Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln? Yes, those oppressors, in Obama's mind, represent the stale US past

Can you point me to the source for this claim? I read the WSJ article and there is nothing I can find in there about a Dolly Madison portrait being removed. The article is mainly about artwork that will be added to the collection, on loan.
I need a source, I think this is a spoof to make freepers rant.
Wondering about this. No real source.
The Wall Street Journal says theyd [Obamas] like to borrow modern art by African-American, Asian, Hispanic and female artists for the White House.
In a sharp departure from the 19th-century still lifes, pastorals and portraits that dominate the White Houses public rooms, they are choosing bold, abstract art works.
I didn’t see mention of removing portraits of Presidents.
Gotta be breakin news at least. Second Coming Font!!!!
Yeah we must get rid of any historical acknowledgement of the white man’s contributions to this country. Just shut up whitey and pay the bills.
WTH are you talking about and why are you saying it to me?
As I stated earlier I do not know if any presidential portraits were removed only that they were looking for art work from minorities to display at the WH
I did not read through the whole thread, was just looking for a better link site and saw yours.
The WSJ mentions replacing older ‘style’ paintings with modern and minority works of art. If I recall correctly, it stated that paintings in the ‘visitor’ areas of the White House cannot be changed.
The president can hang whatever he wants in the residence and offices, including the Oval Office, but art placed in public rooms, such as the Green Room, must first be approved by the White House curator and the Committee for the Preservation of the White House, an advisory board on which the first lady serves as honorary chair.
Hope the White House curator is strong enough to resist requests to remove portraits of former Presidents.
I HAD missed that Michelle was the ‘chair’ of that committee.
I do not know where that information came from.
Sad if true given the fact that it was Dolly Madison is the one who rescued copies of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the portrait of George Washington
There was a picture in the print version of the WSJ on Friday. It showed the DM portrait and a beautiful landscape of Yosemite by an artist whose name escapes me. It also showed some of the true crap that is being hung in their place.
