Yeah we really need more people here in the worst recession. I may be a pessimist, but I think the lose of jobs is going to continue. I have nothing against Cubans who want to flee, but can we handle more?

If all the Cubans come here- can we send all the American liberals to Cuba to cut sugar cane?

One summer we counted 25 abandoned rafts along the Key Largo shoreline while we were bonefishing where Cuban rafters had floated across.

Mariel was a disaster. Castro emptied out his jails and his insane asylums and other trouble makers, just what miami(where they all wind up) needs, more losers than they already have.

It depends on who would come over. When the original flight took place from the Communists we ended up with some very productive hard working people who settled in south Florida and made their own way in the world. They were strong supporters of capitalism and built their own businesses bringing with them everything that Cuba needed but discouraged by accepting communism.

However, if the communists decide who is allowed to come over, we will get those that they view as undesirable including their criminals, ne'er do wells, and incapables.

These conversations should not take place with such a naive president in charge of the administration. He will only look at this as an opportunity to gain some sort of political advantage.

It's way past time to terminate the free and automatic citizenship for Cubans. Actually it's time for many of them to go home.

I promise you the people left in Cuba are not nearly as capitalist as the ones we got in the early decades of Fidel Castro’s rule. Plus communism has brainwashed most of them

The ones left behind are not so much the Spanish population (the got out) but the poorer Black population. Fidel rules a a black Island

The MedicAid fraud in Miami is insane. The nation's highest. They have figured out and used every scam
Plus the SSI disability checks are flowing like waterfalls. They probably keep Miami afloat with the other frauds

In the first batch we ended up with many gorgeous raven-haired, fair-skinned women, some of the most beautiful women I have ever seen. I hope we get more of them!

You are misinformed. Cubans do not have “free and automatic citizenship” in the US. According to the Cuban Adjustment Act of 196, they are allowed to apply for RESIDENCY asfter being here a year and a day. To acquire citizensho, they have to pass the same examination and meet the same standards as anyone else.

YOU ARE CORRECT — JFK bungled big time, but he wouldn’t have had the opportunity in the first place if Eishenhower and the State Dept in 1957 and 1958 had not taken a pro-Castro approach to Cuba that led to the Castro takeover in 1959.
