Roh's die-hard(probably blind) supporter in despair
There was an interesting comment attached to the article showing this photo. It said, "Please bury him with his master." He was refering to an ancient custom of burying attendants with their master.

The Rock Where Roh Moo-hyun had reportedly jumped
He was accompanied by his body guard, which is customary for a former president. He diverted his attention by asking for a cigarette and jumped. The rock is in Bong-hwa Mountain.

He appears to have jumped from a mountain rock at 6:40 a.m. He was accompanied by a bodyguard at that time... Suicide? Off a mountain cliff with a bodyguard? LOL.
Fredo had a bodyguard too, when he went fishing one morning...

Report of suicide note found.13 suicide notes all in different handwriting with the word "DRAFT" written on top of all but one of them. /sarc That would be Arkancide, though.

AP says suicide because of charges of corruption. Sounds like an admission of guilt to me.

Sounds like there are more than a few parallels between Roh’s political life and that of the Clintons and Obama.

Not necessarily an admission of guilt...

The way he chose to kill himself is interesting. He could have cut his wrists in the bathroom or something private like that. Instead he played a game of outsmarting his “guard” or “the authority of the State” by asking for a smoke and then jumping. In doing so, it is like he took a slap at the system that he so disrespected by allegedly taking bribes to begin with.
One less crook is a good thing.
To: Tamar1973
I doubt he would do himself in shortly before being exonerated. Seems more likely that his death prompted the authorities to drop the investigation out of a show of sympathy, particularly since there would be no one to convict or cooperate with the authorities to finger accomplices. Killing yourself to somehow “deflect” attention from your family seems like long shot as well, particularly if you’re more likely to be able to pull some strings and undermine an investigation by staying alive. I figure that the typical asian motive for committing suicide is as a way to avoid shame from your family of anyone else.
