The campaign to expose MPs' Commons expense claims has become so personal that it has started to resemble a McCarthy-style witchhunt, a Tory backbencher said today.

It is interesting to see how non-partisan this British Parliament scandal has become. What it shows us former colonialists is that all of the earmarks seem to show that these politicos have become an 'entitled class' in their own right. There are real parallels in this to the US House Post Office scandal of 1993-4 that helped sweep in the Gingrich Revolution of 1994 with the exception that this British scandal is appearing to tar all active political parties there.

As such this demonstrates the dangers of an embedded political class. What concerns me is that our current turn-coat, Senator Specter, demonstrates the self-evident importance of being re-elected to the experienced politico. TERM LIMITS for everybody, no permanent office holders PLEASE!

So, public exposure of proven crimes is now a “McCarthyite witch hunt”, eh? LOL! Poor babies. Look how mean everyone is to them.

McCarthy was hunting withes. He was exposing agents of the Soviet Union in the Pentagon. He was right.

Good analysis regarding earmarks.

This lady is one dumbass Tory. She should have really kept her mouth shut. She’s brought a lot of shame on her party.
David Cameron is going to have to take a very hard line against any Tory involved in the scandal, and unceremoniously kick them out of the party. The Conservatives cannot afford to be seen as equally corrupt to Labour. It would do them some good for Cameron to demonstrate his intention of cleaning up Parliament by starting with his own party.

Otherwise, fringe parties will be able to seize on the scandal across the spectrum. This is the moment Communists, fascists, and other radical leftist wait their whole lives for. Cameron better nip it in the bud.

I can give them a good website for buying rope. Just don’t charge it to the public.

Yeah, and she should. But that doesn’t address the problem of a Tory who got caught up in Labour’s expenses scandal still being in the party and drawing attention to herself by turning it into MPs vs. the Public. She needs to be kicked out of the party.

And when commoners steal from the Parliament, how are those thieves treated?
