President Obama told human rights advocates at the White House on Wednesday that he was mulling the need for a “preventive detention” system that would establish a legal basis for the United States to incarcerate terrorism suspects who are deemed a threat to national security but cannot be tried, two participants in the private session said.

I don’t have a problem with preventative detention — AS LONG AS THOSE DETAINED ARE NOT U.S. CITIZENS, AND ARE NOT ON U.S. SOIL, AND THE DETENTION ISN’T ON U.S. SOIL. Preventative detention is exactly what we are doing with those pukes in Guantanamo instead of bringing them here. It is also what we did with the Nazis until Nuremberg. I don’t trust BO as far as I could throw him, but the idea of detaining people who want to kill us, and detaining them outside of the country, does not bother me one bit.

We have Preventative Detention here in New Zealand. But it is never given without a trial. It is a sentence that is given to felons that need to be kept away from New Zealand society for as long as they may present a threat to it. That is to say, it is an indefinite, indeterminate sentence; “At Her Majesty’s Pleasure”, so to speak. In practical terms, it is “lock-em-up-throw-away-the-key”.

I cannot believe Obama would contemplate Preventative Detention without having it first be subject to a trial’s outcome. That’s Evil.

Obama's people are following every other despotic regime to the letter in stripping us of our liberties, and unless we all wake up very quickly, we are going to go the way of Russia under Lenin, Germany under Hitler, and Uganda under Idi Amin. How many millions did those three kill after disarming their respective populations? We will see the same thing here because history always repeats itself, especially for those that ignore it.

First they came for the Pro-Life Catholics and I did not speak out because I was not a Pro-Life or Catholic. Then they came for the Evangelical Home-Schoolers and I did not speak out because I was not an Evangelicalnor nor did I home school. Then they came for the Veterans and the Gun Owners and I did not speak out because I was not a Veteran and I did not own a gun. They kept coming and soon took away many of my neighbors and I stood by and said nothing, I only worried each time that they had come for me, but they did not.
