Hotline has the transcript, but be warned that its a long slog through many swamps Gitmo, interrogation, the torture memos, the unreleased Abu Ghraib photos, and on and on. Youre better off with Maguires witty recap. In a nutshell: We must look forward while also remembering that everything is Bushs fault, and we must not abandon our core ideals unless doing so would make things too difficult for The One. My favorite part:

We are going to exhaust every avenue that we have to prosecute those at Guantanamo who pose a danger to our country. But even when this process is complete, there may be a number of people who cannot be prosecuted for past crimes, but who nonetheless pose a threat to the security of the United States. Examples of that threat include people who have received extensive explosives training at al Qaeda training camps, commanded Taliban troops in battle, expressed their allegiance to Osama bin Laden, or otherwise made it clear that they want to kill Americans. These are people who, in effect, remain at war with the United States.
As I said, I am not going to release individuals who endanger the American people.

Oh geez, this guy is really crazy.
“As I said, I am not going to release individuals who endanger the American people.”
When does he leave for Gitmo?
The audacity of Obama to stand before the Constitution and lecture about values is mind-blowing.
This is the same man who claimed in a radio interview that the Constitution was a “flawed” document.
A President of the United States announces to the world that there are lines he WILL NOT cross to protect Americans.
Amazing.
Dueling Transcripts: Obamas Continuing Campaign vs. Cheney, the Voice of Reason
Barack Obama: “As I said, I am not going to release individuals who endanger the American people.”
He will simply have his “Justice Department” declare the Guantanamo terrorists to not be a danger, after “extensive evaluation, discussion, and conferencing with “our Allies” and other interested parties.” It’s important to remember that with Obama, what he says is usually 180 degrees opposite to what he has already decided to do, when Axelrod tells him the time is politically ripe.
Another point in allowing the Gitmo retainees into the US was that 'it will be secure as our maximum security prisons'. What he failed to point out is how liberal lawyers and liberal judges let murders go free on almost a weekly basis and that only one Pinko on a jury can set a terrorist "abductee" free.
The interrogation process:
“Have you had explosives training?”
“No.”
“Are you allied with the Taliban or Osama Bin Laden?”
“No.”
“Do you want to kill Americans?”
“Derka derka Mohammed Jiha...I mean, no.”
“Then you’re free to go! Have a nice day!”
What a worthless a-hole
I can't hear a word he says(mute is on)LOL
I am now convinced Obama is the craziest person I have ever seen. He needs to go. There is no contest between him and Dick Cheney.
Obama: We must never compromise our cherished values.
Sorry to late. When Americans elected you they compromised every value this nation ever had..........
I think the pressure getting to him. And this early into his sham of a pres--ency, that's good. Maybe he'll quit or better completely crack up. I'd rather have dumb Biden in charge than dumb, arrogant, anti-everything-American Bambi.
Even the Kool-Aid drinkers are starting to see that the values he cherishes are much different than their own.
In a sane world Obama would already have been impeached and sitting in prison along with Biden, Pelosi and Reid awaiting trial for treason.
Obamas Plan to Close Gitmo Was Bushs Plan 3yr Ago
From Flopping Aces
I so agree.
Bibi would stare at Obama and Obama would never really look at Bibi...spooky.
I saw that and it said BiBi strong and knows what he wants and Obama big coward.
