Sorry, I don’t buy it. Obama’s position is clearly a denigration of American relations with Israel to the extent that Israel could cease to exist within the coming four years; nevertheless, Jews voted for him in huge numbers.

Obama's position was not "clearly" and widely known BEFORE the election. Who, exactly, hammered this point home? Not the media. Not the GOP. Who revealed Obama's promises about Israel for the lies they were? None of the above.

Where among the Jewish groups were the alarms being sounded BEFORE the election? Who was providing the specific evidence to Jewish groups, like AIPAC, that Obama would throw Israel under the bus AFTER the election?

Even the nontraditional media, like WND, shied away from pointing the finger at Obama before May of last year. It's only now, after his first 100 days, that the truth of Obama's "final solution" is coming to light. But as a prior poster had indicated, "McCain and the GOP did nothing to DOCUMENT and EXPOSE Obama's true intentions and his active anti-Israel associations." Heck, even FOXNEWS failed to make the security of Israel a national issue in the Presidential campaign, let alone a Jewish one.

Jewish groups were sold a "better batch of goods" by Obama and the 'Rats than by McCain and the Dumbos. Obama lied through his teeth, and no one made any concerted effort to strip them bare with a history of documented facts about ZERO's anti-Jewish/Anti-Israel associates and behaviors.

ALL of the political, fact-checking entities were liberal shills for Obama. There were no Conservative fact-checking sites to counter them. Obama's Campaign held full sway with their "Fight the Smears" website -- which was never called onto the carpet for all of its lies and distortions. There should have been been a Jewish counterpart to it, like "Fight the Shmucks," to put Conservatives and Pubs on the offensive.

So, what group or individual was able to get the attention of Jews and to debunk Obama's promises to them about Israel? (the sound you hear are crickets).

Obama would say, "America will not change her strong relationship with Israel. Israel will always be known as the Jewish state. Jerusalem will be the undivided capital of Israel."

What did McCain say in response? "Me, too!"

The GOP thinks that all they needed to do was to raise doubts about Obama as a leader and doubts about his ability to follow through on specific promises, and that alone should have been enough to sway Jewish opinion away from Obama. They could not have been more wrong if they tried.

None of the politicians this year had the cajones to talk the talk: to say why any and every "land for peace" deal is a sham; why the US will not support the creation of another terrorist Palestinian mini-state, nor will it condone having it ripped from Israel's own land and placed on its border; why the creation of another Hamasistan is also a threat to America, and not just Israel, and finally, why the Arab states, along with the UN, are solely responsible for creating the "Palestinian problem" 60 years ago and perpetuating it today, and that they are the only ones who can solve it and should solve it -- by resettling them in the same countries that expelled 1 million Jews from their homes after 1947.

Yeah, that would p*ss off a lot of Lefties and Muslim-Americans, but it's the truth and there is no substitute for it.

Seriously, how many people knew what would be the full extent of Obama's Socialistic blitzkreig on America and Israel BEFORE the election? The answer is "Not many at all." Of these few, how many devoted their time to convincing Jewish voters of it? The answer is, "Was there one?"

Where was Joe Lieberman?
Busy endorsing Juan! Lieberman has made no effort whatsoever, in convincing Jewish people about Obama’s hidden agenda. Lieberman covered his own A$$ in switching parties. Lieberman is an embarrassment and a coward.

Thank you for exposing the truth; one, that I’ve been trying to post as well (but not as well as you).

Now what??? How does the message get out to American Jews and the GOP leadership to publicize the truth; to expose the anti-semites within the RAT party and Zero’s henchmen?

I, for one was told when I brought up concerns about the anti-Israel folks he had on staff (Samantha Powers,Susan Rice, etc.) ...assured by Freepers even...that because Rahm Emmanuel was on board, Israel was not an issue. It appears they were dead wrong, just as I suspected.

I can see you’re passionate on the subject. Personally, I would argue that Obama’s radical agenda should have been apparent to all with eyes to see from the tone of his pre-election rhetoric. As for his posture toward Israel, his use of the name Hussein should have been something of a tipoff, IMHO.

Freepers knew before hand, there is just not enough of us and we have no mouthpiece.

Jews did know most of the extent of this guy. For the first time in their 3/4 of a century +++, many were going to vote for a candidate with an ‘R’ next to his name. They had wanted Hillary, and had been aware of the implications of the dark horse, early in the race.

Then he announced predictions of who his key advisors and who the cabinet people would be. The Jews found Rahm Emmanuel and the rest of the Clinton-redos, very reassuring. He sent his surrogates to their communities, including Slick Willie. He tricked them and misled them in the last 2 weks of October. Jews that cast their vote early for McCain were being harassed by their neighbors and feeling guilty. Now they are the ones with a clear conscious that can say, “ OMG, look what you have done to us now!”

The Jewish vote was a shame, but it was not a geat enough number of votes to have been a decisive factor in the election of 2008. Other groups that don’t vote a straight D ticket historically are much more to blame, IMHO. Evangelicals & Catholics voting for a man that promotes and votes for infanticide, now that is unexplainable, beyond shame. Abortion is not a deciding factor that draws the Jewish vote to Republicans (like support of Israel). Abortion is supposed to be a huge factor on the sanctity of life among Christians. They disregarded their faith or have a lack thereof to have voted for this guy. They should be aching with guilt and remorse.

And lets not forget our fellow FReepers that refused to vote for the Rino on principal. I kept warning people that it is not the way to teach a lesson. Look how well the the 2006 lesson they taught in Congress has worked out for us. It has pushed the country on a fast dark train to hell. Votes and non-votes and not campaigning (cause he is not a Conservative) have serious repercussions and implications. Conservative people are generally well-informed on the issues, but stubbornly refused to compromise. We could have had a piece (small-one) of the pie with McCain/Palin. Now we have nothing and no meaningful elective voice. We can only sit back and watch the country be dismantled.

Hopefully, for Jews, it is an opportunity to learn a lesson about fraud and deceit within party politics. Hopefully they will realize they should have followed their gut instincts and rejected this guy. Hopefully, there will still be an Israel and there will be a chance to make amends for the damage that occurs.

The Republican Jewish Coalition campaigned against Obama in the Jewish community, engaging in a series of debates with Jewish 'Rats around the country as well as other partisan activities, pointing out the obvious problems with Obama's ideas, supporters and background re Israel and the Middle East.
