Does anyone else think Kris Allen, who was very good won American Idol over Adam Lambert who was great because Red Staters siad "No!" to Lmabert for reasons other than talent? Lambert is the best ever on the show, but I think he was denied because Red State America has had "enough." I hope I'm wrong, just thinking out loud.

They were both extremely talented. Adam had a way of interpreting songs which is incredible and his stage presence is unique and creative. I agree, I think they both will have incredible careers.

Gee Whiz, what mania over a lousy karaoke contest of untalented amateurs!

I don’t think so. Adam is super creative and super talented. He is the type of performer who always surprises people and people talk about. If he puts out the right kind of record, he will be huge. Kris, is OK. Talented, but I thought his voice was just nice. Nothing that stands out.

This ought to be the treatment of this slum garbage on Free Republic!

Kris. What kind of songs would Adam sing? What radio format?
Adam doesn’t sound like he would naturally sing generic commerical radio rock. Kris would work in Triple A, Top 40 M, and AC. I’d imagine that Adam would have an easier time now getting work in musical theatre.

And the importance of this to the Republic is....??? To help get our minds off the socialist terrorist-sympathizing Muslim occupying the White House.

I dont think so. Adam is super creative and super talented. He is the type of performer who always surprises people and people talk about. He's a middle-tier Broadway performer, at best.

What kind of songs would Adam sing? What radio format? I think he can bring back rock into the pop arena. Get rid of the rap crap that currently dominates.

It’s all about the voting demographic. Kris won because the voters are a bunch of teeny bopper girls.

Ok, that (rolls eyes), and they’re different types of musicians.
Adam is theatrical, nuanced and interpretive. Kris is proficient in piano, guitar and voice. Kris is also extremely humble, and not aware of his potential.

It could also be because a lot of folks disliked the obvious manipulation with the song picks and what was said. This stupid controversy had nothing to do with it. I was really tired of hearing Adam. And, I think he was more talented! I was just burned out. lol

Adam and his over applied cover girl make-up creeped me out . There I have said it.

Yes you did. :-)
The one night he combed his hair back, he looked good.
Other than that, it was like watching a Rocky Horror show performer. Yes, he can definitely sing and I am sure, he will do just fine.
