WASHINGTON - Congress on Wednesday sent President Barack Obama a bill with sweeping new rules for the credit card industry that will affect just about every American.
...Included in the bill is an unrelated measure by Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., that would allow people to bring loaded guns into national parks and wildlife refuges.
The House approved that provision separately on Wednesday by a 279-147 vote.

yes
whoops. Next up, an amendment on the next bill to repeal the machine gun ban provision of the 86 firearms law. Then an amendment making the conceal carry reciprocal. Yeah, I like this amendment thing Coburn has going.

LOL.... whats up with the gun provision?
Is the the republicans finally playing the liberal’s game?
What was the purpose of including this other than asking for a veto?
He can't veto, he's been asking for the bill.
Tom Coburn, game-set-match. National Park carry will be law.
Since the bill was to control interest rates, think there will ever be a bill to control the amount of interest you pay on a MORTGAGE? paying 2-3 times the amount of the sales price on a house has always seemed outrageous to me. No one advertises a 100k house for 225k after 30 years. Just a thought.
There were way over 60 voted in the Senate, the Kenyon Clown can’t veto it!
How about a rider on the next bill that invalidates anything Obama signs, at the discretion of the states?

Hussein won’t veto this one. A goodly number of leftist politicians are still scared to death of gun owners. Even Hussein will not attempt to overturn the 2nd amendment head on.
So does that mean I can use either a credit card or a gun when visiting the national parks? How convenient! :)
From “Thomas” LOC site: — excerpt from national park rider to Credit Card bill:
“......The Secretary of the Interior shall not promulgate
or enforce any regulation that prohibits an individual from possessing a firearm including
an assembled or functional firearm in any unit of the National Park System or the National
Wildlife Refuge System if—
(1) the individual is not otherwise prohibited by law from possessing the firearm; and
(2) the possession of the firearm is in compliance with the law of the State in which
the unit of the National Park System or the National Wildlife Refuge System is
located.”
Maybe its a good thing Bush didn’t get line item veto for Obama to inherit:-)
700 million credit cards? No wonder we’re screwed.
(we have 3)
Indeed.

Maybe it IS a good thing the line item veto didn’t hold up.
