Some in the GOP were considering calling the Democratic Party the Democratic Socialist Party.

In light of this study, I'd say the result of such a move would be to create more Democrats.

Call them Fascists. It’s what they are, by definition.

The generation that wants ‘free’ stuff.

Free health care

Free child care

Free education

Free cars too, after all, how else to get to their gummint job.

Awesome. Start taxing them at 45%. Every dime. Then see how they feel. :)

It’s the schools.

We let the left take over the public schools. We decided it wasn’t important, and we’d take care of our own, (private schools, home schooling).

Our mistakes are being revealed.

“Public schools were first to go
“They’re run by leftists as you know”

This, my friends, is why America can’t survive. We have an entire generation that is unaware of the principles of democracy.

"Millennials Really Love Their Big Government"

This is the part of previous elections where the GOP "blew it".

The 18-34 yr. old crowd is/has moved to the left of center. The GOP either didn't see it, or refused to pivot accordingly ==> politically tone deaf.

When you live in your parents’ basement playing Wii and texting friends all day long, “BIG government” really doesn’t show up on your radar. All this will shake out when the “millennials” wake up someday and find mom and dad are no longer around to care for them.

They're simply regurgitating what they've learned in their schools. Brainwashed. Waking up to reality is not easy.

for example, my teenage daughter is continually running up huge cell phone bills via texting that goes over my plan. I have explained this to her and she has cooled it, but the problem has not gone away because this same explanation does not get through to all of her friends who keep texting her, sticking me with the charge. These kids have absolutely no clue nor concern that somebody somewhere always gets stuck paying the bill for whatever they want to do. Take that type of thinking writ large and you have your typical Millenium Democrat. (if technology existed back in the day that would have allowed my friends to run up a huge bill to my dad, he would have kicked my arse and those of my friends too)

They are all saddled with Tens of Thousands of Dollars DEBT for College, and they want SOMEONE ELSE TO PAY FOR IT!

They will change their mind when the bills start rolling in and they find out they are the ones paying them.

My 25 year-old son is more conservative than me, and I am very conservative. His 21 year old brother isn’t far behind. I will take credit for steering them in the right direction and informing them of things they never would have learned in school. It appears I have successfully passed along my values and world view. It is a pretty satisfying feeling when it becomes clear that they respected you enough and had enough confidence in you to listen and weigh what you taught them. And they are not afraid to defend their positions either. I’m a very proud Dad.

Thats because the little pissants haven’t strted paying taxes for their big government yet. I do take delight in the fact that they WILL pay for it. For their entire lives. I will enjoy the “I told you so”.
