In an escalation of arguments over closing a prison facility at Guantanamo Bay, a top Pentagon official says members of Congress must rethink their opposition to accepting these detainees into the United States.
Michele Flournoy is President Barack Obama's new Pentagon policy chief. She says members of Congress need to remember that closing the stigmatized prison in Cuba will mean hard choices for everyone. She spoke after Senate Democrats said they won't pay for closure until the administration delivers a satisfactory plan for what to do with the detainees.

Gitmo has a fence to keep Cubans out. They know there is good food in there, and possibly a ticket to the USA.
She’s got the necessary pedigree for the Obama Administration: graduate of Harvard, Oxford, Kennedy School of Government, Clinton Administration veteran, Democrat donor, opposed the war, etc.

I'll tell you what Ms. Flournoy, if their own people won't take them, why on earth should the American taxpayers give them more succor than they have at Guantanamo? The cost of relocating these terrorists is mind boggling....but hey, this is the Obama Era where millions became billions and those are now trillions....moving a few souls to the high ground and close a better solution is really the Obama way.....
Since when did the Pentagon get to tell civilians what to do? We, the People, have the ultimate say in this. For once our representatives are listening to our voices.
