When you read 1938 Germany, its leader, and followers, think 2009 America, its leader, and the Liberal Left, and all of the countries who attended the conference as the self-protectionist others in America who would rather not get involved, or who don’t know how if they did.

We have to be the ones to show them the way out.

It’s great to share our ideals among fellow FReepers, but it’s time to quit simply preaching to the choir.

The word is getting out, albeit, slowly at first, but just like the bucket brigades of old, if everyone steps forward to fill his or her bucket and pass it on, we can put out the fire.

I read about the Evian Confrence years ago in a college history course. In recent months, I’ve thought about the similarities between what ocurred then and what is happening now. The comparison is striking.......and frightening.

Yes we can. When I have an opportune moment (at work)
I speak my mind. Many many people DO listen. I always offer a host of alternative news sites other than the MSM. My blackberry is my weapon of choice

I am afraid we have waited much too long to start putting out the fire. We are so divided against ourselves, (here, Europe, Asia, Africa,) that everyone is a perceived enemy, a potential enemy, or a real enemy and you can't tell which is which anymore.
This article is but a small example of how fractured groups which exist within the body wreak havoc until the body dies.
It exists in every facet of existence on the planet, a pandemic of insanity, a devolution into yesteryear which I simply see no way to cure.
Those of us who have seen it with clarity are the ones called insane. No one likes having the truth laid out for them in black and white. Their realities clash with truth, therefore, the truth is irrelevant.
I think all we can do now is keep from catching fire ourselves. We will fight and we might die, but I will be nobody's slave.
