Continuing his book promotion media tour, former Gov. Jesse Ventura today resumed his blunt criticism of the Bush administration's interrogation policies and took another shot at former Sen. Norm Coleman.
Appearing on ABC's "The View" talk show this morning, Ventura called the waterboarding of suspected terrorists "torture."
"If this country follows the rule of law -- which we do -- torture is against the law," he said, adding, "I'm ashamed of my country."...
He was less harsh about Minnesota's still-unresolved Senate race than he was last week when he called Coleman "a hypocrite."
"It appears [Al] Franken won," he said, contending that when the state Supreme Court rules on the election results "it should end there."
Ventura also renewed his call for legalizing marijuana, something he advocated as long ago as 1998, when he was running for governor....

Shut up Jesse - you're making me ashamed you're an American.

Yes Jesse, isn't it amazing how it took all those recounts, and discovery of lost ballots, and acceptance of previously rejected ballots, and all of a sudden Franken won! Odd how it always works that way for Dem candidates...
There is debate that he was a SEAL here in San Diego.
but was really UDT
Just how many chair-shots to the head did this clown take, anyway?
Ventura proves again that his Mom was AKC registered.
The man is an ex-Navy Seal, and has even given the commencement address at BUD/S before. To say that I am shocked at what he considers torture is an understatement. What he went through during BUD/S and Hell Week in order to become a Navy Seal is a million times closer to torture that the so called enhanced interrogation techniques used against the clear enemies of the country he swore an oath to defend.
I don’t know what to say other than I am speechless and the world has clearly finally gone insane.
Sean just announced Ventura coming on after the break. Off he goes!
Be interesting to hear from those who served with him regarding that service as a SEAL.
maybe sometime you people that insist on showing how tough you are by voting third party will come to your senses....the damage you have done to this country has been devastating....
just as a reminder...Ventura won because he split the vote three ways, him being the winner of the larger percentage,in the 30's IIRC, and we now apparently have Freaking because some third party guy drew over 400,000 votes....a conservative leaning third party so I assume that most of those votes would have gone to Coleman....

I read he was UDT, but when they later merged with the SEALs, and the UDTs were allowed to call themselves SEALs.
Too many elbow shots to the head as a pro-wrestler (well, can’t think of any other viable reason this idiot opens him mouth and stupidity flows out).
well, it needed repeating.....
What an insult to those who are AKC registered.
If “the wrestler” really is a Navy Seal, as he claims, then he has been waterboarded as part of his training. I hope someone asks him about that.
Would really like to hear the story on that...Was he a Seal, perhaps a steographer for the Seals..seriously, has anyone checked out his military story?
He was running against Coleman and Humphrey!
Not sure how you consider either of them less damaging...
(although I do have some new found respect for Coleman.)
Yep.
You're right.
Being an SOB or a bastard is surely an act of nature.
But in both cases, Ventura is a self-made man.
Only Minnesotans would care one bit about what Jesse has to say. He’s a loon, suffering brain damage from a few too many drops on the wrestling match head first.
The type of training the SEALS are put through, Ventura wouldn’t have lasted the first day.
