The W.V. governor, although Dem, is supposedly an NRA member and pro-life. If Byrd kicks it, it would be interesting to see who he appoints.

That is good to hear. I had always assumed it would be better for Byrd to remain in the Senate since he does not have the radical leftist voting record of Jay Rockefeller.

Not necessarily. The new NY senator, Kirsten Gillibrand, had a decent pro-2A record before she got appointed to Shrillary's seat. She caved to the anti-gun crowd in less than 2 weeks, IIRC.

The few Dems with any sense of morals and law seem to lose them, in inverse proportion to the amount of power they gain and how far they move "up the ladder" in politics.
