Please post all information about today's protests here.
My phone is already ringing steadily.
Our AIP folks on the ground at the Notre Dame gates report that the CBR plane is in the air.
ALL,
An outragous headline on Drudge!
VATICAN SILENT ON OBAMA SPEECH
What about Arbishop Burke:
One of the Vatican’s highest ranked clerics and a frequent critic of President Obama said Friday that Notre Dame is causing a “scandal” by giving the president an honorary degree and a platform to address graduates at its commencement next weekend

For those who don't know, the woman to the left of Fr. Weslin is Norma McCorvey, the "Roe" in Roe vs. Wade. The police turned her away and refused to arrest her along with everyone else.
That Drudge link leads to an outrageous piece of anti-Catholic, anti-life propaganda. It’s sickening.
(From that link in the church bulletin) :
But what about Notre Dame? The analogy I use is this: what if a President was pro-life and had qualities and policies
that gave him wide support and an affinity with Catholic teaching but he was a segregationist? If the issue was segregation
and not abortion would it still be ok for Notre Dame to honor him for his other accomplishments and positions that
are in line with Catholic social thought? I think not. Most of us would find it offensive to honor even if tacitly a person
who pushes for the separation of the races. No one would be arguing that we are honoring his other policies and not his
racist one. No that one policy would be like a giant weed in a flower garden. All you could notice is the presence of the
weed. If Notre Dame honored a person who happened to be a segregationist it would be offensive. The schools action
in this present case is just as offensive.
Some argue that the two issues are not the same. No they are not. Abortion if a far greater injustice than segregation.
“The collision of a fundamental and irrevocable moral teaching of Christianity and the US Political System is pitting us against one another. Our obligation is to pray that the Holy Spirit show us a way through” - those gates.
From the link HungarianGypsy posted.
folks should email him at Drudge@drudgereport.com and send a link to an article documenting that Archbishop Burke, a top Vatican official has condemned the Obama invitation:

Top Vatican Official: Notre Dames Honoring Anti-Life and Anti-Family Obama Is a Source of the Gravest Scandal
What kind of crowd estimates are there for the protest?
Commencement begins 2p Central time
Ah well you know the rule, if even a janitor in Vatican City makes an erroneous statement the media says “The Vatican stated today...”, but when it comes to something such as this, unless the Pope himself makes a statement, the media reports “The Vatican has remained silent”.
Are you sure that isn't Eastern time? South Bend is in the Eastern time zone.
I have no idea. Buses have been coming in from a number of places, and lots of others have driven or flown in for the day.
Drudge trends toward anti-Catholicism. This does not surprise me.
Thank you. I just emailed Drudge.
Dr. Keyes is on live right now from the ND gates:

Well, he was. The stream went dead again...

Well said. :)
They got it back.
Praying the Lord’s Prayer.
