It's time for another Tea Party!

Dear Tea Party Patriots,

As you know Connecticut residents are faced with looming municipal & state & federal deficits, a gloomy job market, and some of the highest taxes in the nation. Join us in telling Governor Rell and our state legislators that their taxing & spending & borrowing policies are bad for Connecticut. Bring your family & friends, your signs & voices, and let them know that "We have had ENOUGH!"

WHO: Connecticut Tea Party Patriots WHAT: March On the Capitol WHERE: Hartford State Capitol WHEN: Thursday, May 28, 11 AM to 1 PM

Approximately 5,000 Patriots attended our Tax Day Tea Party on April 15, and we would like to have big numbers at this event. Please help us spread the word. Attached is a file with our event flyer. Please print some copies and pass them out at work, hand them out at meetings, post them on bulletin boards, or set up "take one" stands at local businesses. Please ask your family and friends to do the same.

I’ll make every effort to attend. The first two were a success, especially the one on 4/15. Any chance of having one on a Saturday? We had a good turnout for the anti Dodd rally yesterday.

Obama carried Connecticut by a 59-41 margin and carried Westport by 65-35 margin.

Strange that a State that loves Obama so much is having tea parties. Are even the diehards starting to get enough?

Below is from George Washington’s Farewell Address!

On stable public credit.

“...cherish public credit.
One method of preserving it is to use it as sparingly as
possible.. avoiding likewise the accumulation of debt..
it is essential that you...bear in mind, that towards
the payments of debts there must be Revenue, that to
have Revenue there must be taxes; that no taxes can
be devised, which are not...inconvenient and unpleasant”

I spoke with several Democrats at the 4/15 rally. They are disgusted with the RATS.

Was there an after-action report for yesterday, for Hartford or Derby? I was in Derby and saw only 3 others outside, anything important happen inside?

Race, thank you so much for your efforts on the Tea Parties and the Dump Dodd rallies. I gotta ask, though... why is this one going to be held in the middle of the day on a THURSDAY?

Wednesday, April 15 was fine, but I really don't think we can do another weekday Tea Party...

so the legislature will see people make an effort jst like the 15th

also, they are still in session, this would be the third time we held one while they were in session, the third time people took time off from work to tell them to stop spending our money!!

OK, I understand now. I'll let you know if we can make it, but right now it's looking doubtful... thanks for the heads up.
