Vice President Joe Biden, well-known for his verbal gaffes, may have finally outdone himself, divulging potentially classified information meant to save the life of a sitting vice president.
According to a report, while recently attending the Gridiron Club dinner in Washington, an annual event where powerful politicians and media elite get a chance to cozy up to one another, Biden told his dinnermates about the existence of a secret bunker under the old U.S. Naval Observatory, which is now the home of the vice president.
The bunker is believed to be the secure, undisclosed location former Vice President Dick Cheney remained under protection in secret after the 9/11 attacks.
Eleanor Clift, Newsweek magazine's Washington contributing editor, said Biden revealed the location while filling in for President Obama at the dinner, who, along with Grover Cleveland, is the only president to skip

According to the piece, (if I read correctly) he said it at the table he was seated at, not as part of his speech. So only a few people heard it.
It just blows me away that this man is the VP of the United States, my 10 yr old grandson is more intelligent and mature.
As I tell everyone, pray for 0bama, I honestly believe that he is the least evil betweem himself, biden and pelosi.

Anyone who thinks that Biden has just told the Russians or the Chinese or al Qaida anything they didn’t already know is deluding themselves.
Maybe Biden should be taken to this “hideaway, which is behind a massive steel door secured by an elaborate lock” and left there until Obama resigns or leaves office.

The point that some may be missing is one that our “friend” jerry rivera demonstrated during the Gulf War years ago when he drew diagrams in the sand outlining our troop positions on an internally televised broadcast. Yes, the enemy knows that we’re there (somewhere), but for God’s sake, don’t show them exactly where!
Biden the blowhard can’t help himself. He is so insecure with his miserable lot in life that he feels compelled to boast and brag and say stuff that a smarter person knows instinctively should remain confidential.
By revealing this tidbit of info he makes himself a bit more of a target (YEA!) and the jobs of our military significantly harder (BOO!). It needn’t have happened, but was inevitable given the idiot we have for a VP.
Normally I do not include Joe Biden incidents on the Obama list. This, however rises to the level of national security and Biden is his administration's mouthpiece.

Depends on what you construe 'dinnermates' to mean. I took the larger view because Clift doesn't specify.
But doesn't really matter...if you tell a secret to only six friends and those six friends share it with only six of their friends....
