A CNN news clip from May 22, 2002, shows Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi was not as out-of-the-loop as she now claims on interrogations.
William Jacobson provided a little more evidence that Pelosi was not the clueless babe in the woods in 2002 that she now says she was.
Pelsoi, after all, was the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee. No one in Congress would know more than she.
Jacobson dug out this from an old CNN clip:
CNN.com, May 22, 2002: Last Monday night, the New York Joint Terrorism Task Force–a round-the-clock operation at the New York field office of the FBI–got a call from FBI headquarters. Abu Zubaydah, the highest al-Qaeda official to be captured by the U.S., had told interrogators that he had heard other Osama bin Laden loyalists discussing attacks on the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty and other U.S. landmarks. But, a federal law-enforcement official told TIME, Abu Zubaydah had said the conversations took place a while back and claimed he knew of no particular plan.
Since his capture in March, Abu Zubaydah has shared some valuable information, says a senior U.S. intelligence source. “He’s not b.s.ing us on everything.”
Then again, says Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, senior Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, “he is also very skilled at avoiding interrogation. He is an agent of disinformation.”
So she not only knew, but she was correcting the intelligence professionals.

I think she’ll be the one not to want to go forward. I am hoping that the general feeling with the dems is that they want to distance themselves from her. Then things may start to crumble....

I do see Sarah as elected president in 2012.
Obama will retain the presidency in the next election because he will pin it all on Bush, (who actually does deserve a lot of the credit). He will say that he inherited a bigger mess than even he could see, and that he is doing everything he can to get the country out of it, and all the libs will swallow it. He may even violate the constitution, and get a third term.
