In just the last six months, every major economic sector is speeding towards bankruptcy and the Fed has spent trillions in printed funny money, in an unbridled and ill-fated effort to buy up (not bail out) America’s free-market economic system, leaving the nation, its currency, its people - and yes - FREEDOM, headed towards imminent total collapse.
Opinions about how to save American freedom and liberty are plentiful. But without a proper fact based diagnosis, there is no way to know which remedy will save the day, and which might kill the patient. Before we can discuss a cure, we must carefully assess the illness…

This is an excellent article, well worth the read. Nails trial lawyers and the AFSCME union as the - by far - biggest Rat money and vote suppliers. I’ve never seen these stats anywhere else.

America lost its freedom in increments but is going in even bigger steps now.
According to the press, Obama is loved, Robin Williams will vote for him again in 2012, and (some figure over 50% of) Americans are happy as pigs in $hit watching the government take over industries, disassemble the free market system, capitalism, and their freedoms.
And our 1.5 party system of Government isn't going to alter course until we are all thralls of the state, or the system collapses on itself.

Americans gave away their freedom by asking government to regulate the free market, beginning around the turn of the 20th century. They, essentially, sought the free lunch, which isn’t free.
Let us assume that the author of the above article is correct, and facts and statistics seem to back his assumptions and knowing and having studied human nature this never ending cycle appears to become stronger as time passes.
Now we have a president who is an outright socialist, you may argue that he is not until doomsday but again, facts, action and history of his back this up. One of his main agenda is to push for socialized medicine and if you believe that he does it for altruistic reasons I would like to sell you a bridge, you know where.
The main reason for the government to get and take control of the medical industry is to get another mind boggling number of administrative employs under their umbrella and needless to say all of them unionized and of course voting the socialist ticket. Once this happens you might as well forget about the “Great American Dream” as this will finalize the strangle hold of socialism. Obama knows this only too well, what is the main reason he is attempting to push Socialized Medicine through come hell and high water.
Once this happens, and I am afraid it will, what ever this great country once stood for will be become lost over time as it will join the ranks of second rate nations. As I can see it, the only thing what may break this never ending cycle which keeps on re-enforcing itself would be a natural or man made disaster of biblical proportions, or an out right war to shake our society all the way to the bottom of its foundation, perhaps this may help to get society back on the right track and recover our lost dream.

Germany, in an unconventional warfare effort to weaken enemy Russia, shipped Lenin in a sealed train to be released into Russia.
Is there something in legal education that deforms reasoning? Maybe it is just the Ivy/Oxbridge world view, regardless of one's field.
Palin was refreshing, as an outsider in the mold of the Gipper. I hope she comes up to speed on the issues and tries again.

My take is the author asked me to donate $10-$100 to save my freedom. I'd ask the author to donate it to who? Who should receive all those billions? The GOP? Hardly as far as I can tell, they are just as bad as the DNC.
The problem is the money in politics. Adding billions more to the parties that are already looting the system isn't going to save our freedom. My mom used to say, two wrongs don't make a right. I refuse to cast my lot in with thieves.
We have lost one of our very core founding principles. One the Founding Fathers even wondered if we had when they ventured out to create our new Nation. Virtues and Morals. The left has systematically destroyed that core principle to a free people.

Find ways to give it to specific candidates in your district.

I was fortunate to find his book “Chaos” at a book sale and found it a great read. He articulates well what the Constitution was originally intended to do, and how it has been distorted over time by power grabbers.
IIRC, Glenn Beck had a show where a guest delineated a continuum of the Federal powers on a chalk board ...

........the Founding Fathers intent being that the Feds were a very weak entity and how we have moved so far left. It’s our state and local governments who can win back our Constitutional republic, but We the People need to put them into office and pressure them to make sure they do it.
It’s interesting to see the recent bill passed in Montana trumping federal gun control laws for intrastate weapons, and the recent movement of states fighting back against the federal government. The timely issue of outright nullification of federal laws is now being brought up.
