"Fr. Norm" - 80-Year-Old Priest Arrsted, Jailed at Notre Dame

Here is the video of Fr. Norm Weslin's arrest by University of Notre Dame police. He was carrying a cross and singing a hymn in honor of the mother of Jesus Christ ---"Our Lady" -- "Notre Dame."

What evil deed did they think he was going to do if they didn't arrest him: launch a devastatng, full-scale Rosary barrage?

I have been trying to find out why this elderly man of the cloth was “taken down” like this. What was his charge? Now I read that Notre Dame is private property and these protesters were not allowed.

So why didn’t the protest take place in FRONT of the school, on PUBLIC ground??? Didn’t the people who had this priest protesting understand the law and knew he could be hurt if he were arrested?

I am sorry but I don’t get it. You can’t protest ON private property so you are supposed to do it on the public sidewalk outside. Why didn’t the protest take place on public property? I feel terrible for this priest.

My thoughts exactly.

Here's what I emailed Notre Dame's director of security:

I feel compelled to email you a note of congratulations after showing that 80 year old priest, Father Weslin, who's really in chargeat Notre Dame.

Bravo! We need more folks such as you who can steel your resolve in the face of such moral challenges.

When your child asks you "How was work today, dad?", did you reply "I ordered an 80 year old priest arrested, son. Just doing my job, you know."

One wonders whether your historical brethren, say those in a far away Teutonic land of 65 years ago, answered the same question with "I arrested some Jews today, son. Just doing my job, you know."

Sleep well, knowing you've made the world a safer and better place through your efforts. Certainly, your actions here will be looked back as a highlight of your lifetime's work when you throw off your mortal coil and stand at God's threshold.

Protect and Serve, indeed!

I doubt I'll get a reply.

I don’t know if the interpretation of 7779 is correct. If so, I think God chose to speak through lottery numbers.

“He is a PIG!”
Agreed- he is just a whore for the feminazis and will do or say anything to get elected, but the really EVIL thing is, he’s not just the usual lying politician-he actually believes and acts on his anti-life rhetoric!

I know what you mean as I have seen a lot of pure filth. Sometimes I like to read the reactions, and there is also the option to remove comments as I've seen a lot of that, too. I don't know who controls it, am guessing the one who posted the video but could be youtube.

They think we are hateful, why don't we adopt those children then? Have an answer for everything. It's not an issue with much middle ground, if any. I've got my hands full with my own family and saving our babies. It's a hard time to live and watch.

My son cannot understand why I am so passionate about it. To me, it's like the Holocaust going on every day not far from me and all of us and everywhere in the country, and I am powerless to do anything about much of it, just one small voice. I'm going to live to my dying day with this knowledge. So they criticize the Germans now. I don't know how I'll fare on Judgement Day. I've had my hands full in my own family with babies that could have easily been aborted. I could have always done more. I've seen how hard some women in the church work to make little blankets and things for Birth Right and do counselling, donating their time and money.

People are adopting these babies if they are allowed to be born. There was a Catholic family at church that did that, were overjoyed with their baby.

You’re asking the wrong person. Ask Father John Jenkins who is engineering this whole thing for his own personal reason. Somehow, I don’t see Father Jenkins standing up and being handcuffed for anything when he’s 80. If he had any guts, he’d stop this thing right now.

I cried.

I did too Bahbah, we've become a country that objects to pouring water ont he heads of terroists, but think it's acceptable to tie the hands of an 80 year old priest behind his back for nothing. He was doing NOTHING wrong.

Wish the alumni who are distraught about this horror of honoring President Partial Birth Abortion himself, could view this list of the ND board... ONLY CATHOLICS should be on this board. Period.

The list and "accomplishments" of those on the Notre Dame Board of Trustees is available for all alumni to see thanks to Pewsitter. It is obvious that the Board members' agenda and Catholic interests are not necessarily one and the same. Maybe more alumni will start paying attention after ND's president chose to publicly honor Obama.

Will CNN get close to right? The opposition is NOT to the invitation. It is to the honorary degree. Will they get that?

Jenkins declined an invitation to come on CNN.

He's busy trying to convince the culture of death that he deserves more than just thirty pieces of silver.

In 1970, Nobel Prize winner Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn observed:

“Let us not forget that violence does not and cannot flourish by itself; it is inevitably intertwined with lying. Between them there is the closest, the most profound and natural bond: nothing screens violence except lies, and the only way lies can hold out is by violence.”

The more odious the violence, the greater the deceit is needed to justify it. Therefore, the defense of partial-birth abortion has required an inexhaustible store of lies.
