Here is the video of Fr. Norm Weslin's arrest by University of Notre Dame police. He was carrying a cross and singing a hymn in honor of the mother of Jesus Christ ---"Our Lady" -- "Notre Dame."

What evil deed did they think he was going to do if they didn't arrest him: launch a devastatng, full-scale Rosary barrage?

Today's churches are a very large part of our problem.

I've always been more spiritual than religious in the organized sense. I'm not a member of any church.. but I would be honored to be called a Christian.

Father Jenkins obviously has other goals than Catholicism at Notre Dame.

It's the Jesuit's that seem to be the ones who have goals other than Catholicism. This has been the biggest disappointment to me. They are, after all, the Society of Jesus. Every one of them has S.J. after their names. I suppose this is one of those "WWJD" moments. They will get their answer to that in the hereafter, I suppose.

I agree with you that every faith, and every person, who values life should be praying. At the same time I am amazed and thankful for what God has already done through Obama’s impending speech. God has compelled people of different faith traditions who might otherwise bicker amongst themselves to close ranks and unite against a common evil. God is so good!
