Hmm... Seems like a swoop and poop!

Personally, the more people get upset with the government and how politicians are the same old uppity elites, the more appealing she becomes... Granted I was a fan from the start ;-)

LOL These things happen.

In many ways, I'm still deciding whether I see her as the leader that we really need or whether she's just another politician with an appealing outward persona. When Elizabeth Dole was gaining popularity in the late 90's, I remember writing somewhere that only time would tell whether she was going to be the American Margaret Thatcher or just a female Bob Dole. Unfortunately, she was mostly a female Bob Dole although she did stand against illegal immigration a bit at the end.

Eight months ago, my feeling was that Sarah Palin was barely qualified for the presidency but that "barely qualified" still put her above any of the other three candidates running. If the USA is a strong, free country in fifty years, historians will be amazed that the 2008 election produced three such poorly qualified candidates and Sarah Palin who may end up being a great leader or may end up being another flash in the pan. On a gut level, I like her. I also think that someone who inspires that much hatred from that many idiots has to have some good qualities. On the other hand, I'm not sure whether she's really that good a leader or whether she's not ready for anything beyond Alaska.

I agree that she's the most "real" person to gain national prominence in a long time. I don't know when was the last election where we had a presidential or vice-presidential candidate who was "one of us" just four years before the election. Maybe we've never had someone else running for one of the top two slots who was "one of us" just four years before the election.

Here's your chance to be more than a one-post wonder. Beyond the fact that she doesn't appear to be one of "the same old uppity elites," what makes you think she will be a great leader?
