The spacewalk to start repairing the Hubble began about 8:00 CT this morning.
They will be outside about 55 minutes. They are currently 23 minutes into the spacewalk.

I just watched the successful launch of the Herschel and Planck Space Observatories, they are not on their way to the L2 point. That mission successful so far.
Should read “they are now” on their way to the L2 point.

i know they were watching out for space junk too, but cannot we scoop that crap up and charge the UN for the service....
just my thoughts, i know they track the space junk, but if it isn’t a big problem now, will it be later...
(we can also pack up some satellites that might be used against US.)
i think that would be cool too.
