Received yet another complaint from a prior donor:
"The thread about who is a troll tells lots. FR is not welcoming to newbies. But the younger generation of potential conservatives has to be heard. Conservatism is changing, and we need openness, even when it challenges.
My son as well as me was a previous supporter of FR, but he quit; “these guys are extremists, and they can not win elections via labeling. In 10 years the whole debate about stem cells will be as ridiculous as the “debate” about baby carriages.”
In 10 years most of us 1999 Freepers will be dead. If I posted this, I would be banned as a troll. So I am inactive and leave FR with regretss for what FR has become.

Well, I just don't know what to tell you. FR will remain a pro Life and Liberty conservative site. It's true that government schools have brainwashed the last couple of generations of our youth into believing that abortion, homosexual marriage, universal health care, global warming, open borders, big government, big spending, high taxes, etc, are perfectly normal and healthy for our citizens and our "democratic" society, but I just cannot bring myself to go along with all that liberal mumbo jumbo.
One more time: FR is pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-constitution, pro-traditional values, pro-small government, pro-defense and pro-America.
We oppose RINOism, liberalism, feminism, homosexualism, socialism, Marxism, globalism, fascism, communism, pacifism, government enforced atheism, anarchism or any other form of tyranny.
We fight for LIFE and Liberty and our religious freedoms as well as all of our other God-given unalienable rights. What God has given, no man, no government can rightfully take away. Our individual rights are not negotiable! Thank you very much!
Sorry, but I'm simply not interested in running a website dedicated to electing RINOs or turning the GOP into democrat-lite. If that means our fundraisers take longer or our donations dry up, then we'll find some other way to fund our operations. But we traditional conservatives (extremists to you) will continue fighting the good fight!
I will agree with you on one thing though. Those who feel FR should be more tolerable to the liberal point of view or that conservatism is changing and we should adapt to be electable are probably on the wrong website. Conservatism does not change, weak-kneed RINOS do.
“Free Republic” is the antidote to the scourge of “Political Correctness” that has been imposed in America.
Thank you, Mr. Robinson, for giving Christians a voice; for allowing the greatness of America to be rightfully celebrated; for honoring the military in the way in which our military deserves to be honored; for not compromising for the sake of political expediency; for giving voice to the silent majority; for taking what has become our phony media to task and exposing the lack of integrity that has spoiled the once noble profession of journalism; and for maintaining an internet forum that reminds us every single day why we should be thankful to live in America and why the principles upon which she was founded are worth fighting for, today more than ever.

George Bush was a socialist who nationalized the banks, ensured wide open borders, and delivered us to Barack Obama, a radical Communist. When we are hit again, don’t blame the Rats, blame the progressive Republicans who gave the country to the Communists on a silver platter.
Yes, the MSM and liberals are dancing on our graves giving us idiotic advice. Problem is, republicans picked McCain and McCain learned fast he couldn't beat a democrat acting as democrat light. Liberals (or Megn McCain/Colin Powell) never really explain "why their advice would work " because they are not sincere.
Also, it'll be interesting to see how many of them return. I bet there will be plenty.
