Senate Republicans, from the rank and file to the leadership, are supporting the inevitable move to the center that comes with backing Florida Gov. Charlie Crist for the state’s open Senate seat.

GOP senators accept that Tuesday's endorsements of Crist by Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) and National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman John Cornyn (Texas) is more about pragmatism than principle.

The popular centrist governor faces a GOP primary from former state House Speaker Marco Rubio of West Miami, a protégé of former Gov. Jeb Bush and a more conservative candidate.

Move “back” to center? When was the GOP centered?

GW Bush was NOT on the far right.

And there are those who insist that Barack Obama is a moderate and not on the far Left. They will need to point out which positions are to the Left of Obama’s.

And the GOP has such a gift dropped right in their laps, and it’s a fumble.

Progressives, one and all.

::::::::::::

They still do not get it. They are afraid to take a SOLID CONSERVATIVE STAND against Obama because they think his MASSIVE welfare state will buy too many votes to defeat him. They are not taking into account the votes Obama is losing daily as he continues his Marxist onslaught. That is a growing number and it will huge by the vote in 2010.

This primary may be a showdown primary over the direction of the party. For Crist’s (RINO-Fl.) sake, support for Rubio is crucial now.

Its time. Its third party time.

The GOP is irretrievable. Its leadership is a bunch of destructive termites who engineered two catastrophic loses in 2006 and in 2008 and are bound and determined to bring the once great party of Lincoln down to destruction.

So be it.

Even as the Democrat Party drifts further into the uncharted wasteland of socialism, the pilots who sailed the GOP ship of State into the reefs before, are moving inexorably after them.

Hasta la Vista - I'm sure all RINOs understand that.

We won't let the door hit us in the butt as we leave.

Move to the center?

So they’re going to start tilting to the right for once?

in 2012 I think there will be such a back-lash against liberalism that Michael Savage will be able to take the election by landslide.

I think it’s wise that our army is filled with true conservatives rather than RINOs that will once again poison it like they have done.

How the heck does that Mitchell get selected of being in charge anyhow?

I don’t think its that they’re afraid—it’s that they don’t have conservative bearings. They believe in big, intrusive government.

Just think, all of the things that Obama is commandeering will be the GOP’s to play with when he’s out of office.

They’re SALIVATING over the prospect.

National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman
John Cornyn (Texas) is convinced that the UN is
the greatest thing to happen to humanity.

Don't be fooled by a person who talks conservative
except for important items.
Kay Bailey hyphenated is worse.
