WEST HOLLYWOOD, California Mark Landon, an actor and eldest son of "Little House on the Prairie" star Michael Landon, was found dead Monday at his home. He was 60.
The cause of death was not immediately clear but there was no evidence of foul play, said Sgt. David Infante of the Los Angeles County sheriff's office.

Animals do not have a soul, like man. Read the Bible, there is no reference about animals in heaven. Dogs, horses, etc, are not equal to man. Bhuddists on the other hand believe that life is recycled. If you were evil you can be recycled into a lower form like a worm??? Good people are rewarded with a good life upon reincarnation. Shoe saleman to tycoon????
I knew the nuns were winging it! Somehow, though, it’s easier to tell a little fib to a ten year old than to tell him he’ll never see his dog again. People did me so many kindness that I never appreciated at the time. I think God will forgive Sister.
Judging by some of the nuns I knew, they were beyond forgiveness and are probably trying to comb their singed hair. One ended up in jail for child abuse.
Theologically, they just made up their answers to fit the mood of the day. Sorry, they were just evil and depraved women on a massive power trip.
Ditto....
Interesting comment about nuns.
My grandfather was in the Italian Army in WW1. He fought in the Alps against the Austrians. He was wounded, captured, and ministered to by nuns as a POW.
He always said that the nuns treated him and his fellow POWs so poorly that he only stepped foot in a church three times after 1918.
His son’s wedding, his daughter’s wedding, and his funeral.
Guess I should fix this as it’s been in my mail for years. Sent to me by another.

I didn’t have that experience. Mine were much more like “lilies of the field”, kind, gentle, gracious and generous women, engaged in a mostly thankless task. (The Mother Superior was a b****, but she was the exception. Even she was fair, if something of a tyrant.)
I can’t recall any that were nice at all. Several were leftists bordering on communists. My second grade teacher was a tyrant. I have an aunt who was a nun that contracted some life threatening disease while she was on some mission somewhere (I was a kid and don’t remember much) Apparently the nuns in charge thought it would be too expensive to treat her properly so they ignored it and let her suffer. Eventually, my grandmother took over her treatments and got her healed. Did I mention ex-nun?
Traficant was required to relinquish his toupe when he entered prison. Tony Curtis is merely toupe-sitting until Traficant is released.
Some of them had dead animals piled up like Carmen Miranda on his head, lol....
Well, happy birthday in advance!
Don't be depressed. Getting older may not be much fun, but it beats the alternative!
Odd?? that’s the euphemism of the month!
I said it was depressing, not that I was depressed about it. As you say the alternative is not so great either, and it comes with grandchildren. All three of mine are sleeping over at grandpa's tonight, with their mother. She's in one BR, the 18 m/o twins are in another, and the 4 y/o (YESTERDAY!) will sleep with me. Normally grandma is here when she visits. but this is a special mid week deal because their house is being fumigated.
If my knees were up to snuff, I'd be pretty happy. But I've beat the snot out of them over the decades, most of time carrying around lots of extra weight. Getting to not be carrying that extra weight often involved beating the snot out of the knees anyway. Tore the ACL on one, although not all the way through. That's the one that's been operated on twice, now. The first time took weeks to be able to walk without a brace or crutches. The second time, just a couple of years ago, less actually, I walked out of the hospital. It was FReeking amazing. But it's hurting again, and I'm not sure why. X-rays show it to not be all that bad.
